ACCEPTANCE SPEECH

First of all, I would like to thank all of you for taking your time out of the day to my Court of Honor today. Today it is such an honor for me to receive my Eagle Scout Award. It took me five years to get here and I could not finish such a task without the help of my family, scoutleaders, and my scouting friends; therefore I would like to take this opportunity to show my appreciation. Especially to my Grandparents, CON CAM ON ONG BA NOI DA DAY BAO CON TRO THANH NGUOI TOT. Father (BO), I thank you for being there for me whenever I need help VA BAO CON RANG MINH CO THE LAM DUOC BAT CU NHUNG GI NEU MINH QUYET TAM VA CO GANG. Mother (me), Im thankful for having a mother like you- ME LUON LUON CHAM SOC BAO VE VA DONG VIEN CON. I also thank America to accept me to live here and offer me this opportunity. TO MY SCOUT LEADER, I wholeheartedly appreciate your dedication, and value the time that you spend not just for me but to other scout, so that we can become a true scout and become a proud eagle. Also To My FELLOW SCOUTS, I would like to thank you for spending time with me to work on the project: YOUR SCOUTING SPIRIT and YOUR helpfulness make me feel more confident in everything I do! Most important of all, I would like to thank Robert Baden Powell- the founder of Boy Scout. His vision of the boy scouting is to educate young people to become productive, responsible, and moral citizens in the society. He said that The most important object in Boy Scout training is to educate, not instruct.. Thank to this foundation he places in scouting, I am taught to do my duty to god, my country, and to help people at all time. In the Vietnamese culture, the teacher and mentor are considered as the parents who look after the students and give them value guidance. Truong Tony and Co Bich, I have no other word to say to express how grateful I am to have a mentor and teacher like you. Baden Powell says that Success in
training the boy depends largely on the Scoutmaster's own personal example Truong Tony, You have done that sir, thanks to your dedication, and I learned a many lessons from your good personal example. Here I present this Eagle Mentor Pin Truong Tony and Co Bich

Eagle Scout is not just title, but it represents the maturity of a scout who is prepared to make the world the better place and to put happiness into the lives of others.

As an Eagle Scout , I am going to spread my wings to fly high, soar over the sky, so that Everybody can look up at me as a role model. And to continue this scout journey to help educating young people in order create a better society in which everybody can enjoy by doing

my duty to God, my country ,and help people at all time. For this reason, I , Duc Tran, proudly accept the rank of Eagle Scout with those responsibility place on my back. Thank you very much for coming today and supporting us on the court of honor Eagle Scout, I wish the best to all of you and we forever enjoy the journey of life.
