Director- Mapping NAMRIA Lawton Ave. Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City Dear Mr. Belen: I am applying for any position under Cartography division, preferably on the database sector of NAMRIA main office. The nature of the work seems to fit very well with my pursued course, Geography. I graduated in University of the Philippines under College of Social Sciences and Philosophy. I took Bachelor in Science major in Geography. The course itself is very holistic but to better understand what Geographers study, we are considered as space/place experts. We study earth as a human viable home. We put emphasis on the interactions happening between human and environment. We were introduced to GIS (Geographic Information System). I know basic skills on ArcView 3.x and had once submitted a thematic map using the said software. I had experiences on Field work as well. I got to know how GPS works. In our Fieldwork in Agusan Marsh, Agusan del Sur, our team used GPS device Garmin to track waypoints. Through that, our mapping team was able to make a geo-referenced map of the Marsh which was urgently needed by the government there for the master plan book of their place. My resume provides more details on my credentials. I am somehow confident that I can perform the job effectively.
