Ever fucked your best friend over a woman? The Black Belle. An insatiable, unusual, unbromantic comedy.

Actor and producer Bret Roberts as sneaky Mickey

Synopsis The Black Belle is a sexy romp of a comedy, at once sincere in its understanding of mans obsession with woman and bitingly hilarious about the lengths he will go to to make her his own. This hot comedy shot in nine days and edited in eight is made by a multitasking, prolific indie film family. The Black Belle boasts a host of strong comic performances with impeccable laugh out loud timing yet a laid back, naturalistic style in fitting with the California it is set in. Punctuated by an eclectic LA underground soundtrack we are taken through a usually unseen Los Angeles, down back alleys and into bedrooms in search of the intoxicating Belle. A post-modern twist sees various famous actors playing themselves, including James Duval, Jason London, Harry Dean Stanton and even porn legend Ron Jeremy. The Black Belle tells the story of one womans devastating allure and outrageous sex drive: uber man-eater Belle. Her mystical power over every guy she meets sees friendships ruined and marriages destroyed. Broken into three chapters and told with a clever episodic structure, we discover Belles trail of destruction, obsession, broken hearts and confusion mainly through the tragic tales of the men involved. Consistently funny and often bizarre, The Black Belle offers a frank, experimental and explicit alternative to the Hollywood rom-com. It is an unbromantic comedy with a sting in the tale.

Production History by Writer/Director Brian McGuire

DP Jared Varava, Director Brian McGuire and actor/1st AD Joey Capone

In the past two years I have written and directed three films as well as acting in several others. At 65 already it seems Im having a growth spurt and it suits me just fine. To be honest, on the first day of my directorial debut, On Holiday, I thought I was gonna throw up. By the end of that first day I could not wait to wake up and start shooting again but looking at it from the top it felt like the first day of school and I could not believe what the hell I had signed up for. I wasnt sure if I was going to make it through the intense ten-day schedule Id laid out. I lost a lot of sleep due to excitement and worry. I was dealing with forty-nine actors, acting like they were on drugs in my own apartment, with $100,000 worth of uninsured lighting equipment. I knew that if I could get through this movie I would make something much smaller next timeand with more than one locationthat wasnt my home. The coming together of The Black Belle concept happened the day after we wrapped postproduction on On Holiday. I had already started thinking about what the next project was to be during filming. I kept seeing a movie that had three stories featuring two long scenes with

each of the stories focusing around two guys trying to fuck each other over. The punk rock title was to be Two Fucking Guys but the cohesive element was missing.... until I realized the answer was, of course, a woman. I have often obsessed over love lost, sometimes many years after the relationship is over. And when Im in the middle of it, I can be a fully obsessed idiot. I believe most humans do this at least once in their lives, over some amazing god or goddess. The way we can allow our selves to be so insane, throwing emotions around from rage to sadness to anger is something Ive found to be intriguing as well as funny as all hell. It became very clear to me that the three sets of two fucking guys would be interwoven in a womans web. After remembering reading about the turn of the century serial killer Belle Gunness, The Black Widow, who brought down over forty lovers, I had my inspiration. The Black Belle isnt deadly but she will drive a man to his ruin. The gorgeous Natasha Alam (True Blood/Entourage) certainly fit the bill. Now having all the pieces, I sat down to write it. It took me ten days. I have to work fast or else I will loose it. I already knew who the cast was: my friends, or you could easily call them my family. I have known these guys for over five years now and have worked on over seven projects with them, all of us wearing different hats for each other and getting the job done. I met Terry Wayne on On Holiday. He came in as a last minute replacement and blew me away so I knew Terry would then be the Franklin Dear, the leading man of our story. Joey Capone and Jorden Harkins who play Aidan and Brad are great friends both in real life and movie life. I could and have watched these boys with their amazing chemistry all day long. My best friend, producer, and acting partner Bret Roberts and I played Mikey and Nicky. The names where stolen from the film title Mikey & Nicky directed by Elaine May. The film stars John Cassavetes and Peter Falk, one of the finest duos in the world. Last but not least, the amazing James Duval became my roommate early in 2010. I knew I wanted him to play a weird twisted version of himself. He loved the idea and said I could go nuts in whatever direction I wantedso I did! James would sometimes come home

after a long weekend at an autograph signing convention and show me pictures of him after the signings at a bar with iconic film stars from the movies I grew up on in the 80's. I was looking at pictures of James with Candy Man, Willow, three of The Warriors, & Styles from Teen Wolf, hammered at a bar! I asked James if he thought we could get some of these guys to be in The Black Belle, in a scene where theyre all doing what I saw them doing, drinking and shooting the shit after an autograph signing convention. James said "Hell yeah Dude" and he was off to make some calls. After a lot of back and forth we worked it out so that Jason London, Robert Rusler, Rodney Eastman, and The Hedgehog himself, Ron Jeremy, would appear in the film. I felt pretty lucky. And then I met Natasha Alam. She was The Belle the moment I met her. I had no idea who this woman would be until Natasha. She was on the cover of PlayBoy Magazine when we where shooting the movie which brought the attention of the paparazzi to our set. I couldnt stop laughing that they were on our set. Us being such skint indie dudes with this babe followed by the paps amongst us. Bret Roberts chased one out of the swingers club scene. I have always enjoyed movies that can shine the light in the dark. Messed up relationships and the exploration of their clichs is such a rich landscape. Films like Todd Solondz's Happiness showed me the way to express light in darkness. The meandering towards the point style of story telling I saw in Jim Jarmush's Down By Law drives me to find interesting structure in screenplays. Richard Linklater's use of the camera in Slacker, all these are influences on The Black Belle. As far as getting her made, the romance of movies was a big part but the people who I call my crew, my friends, my family, they are the engine. The fact that were hungry and want to express our visions is what made The Black Belle. Its my second film as director but this was our fifth movie as a growing family. So, we had learnt how to make a movie, get locations, get actors, get equipment and we always knew how to get each other to laugh but when it's time to work, we work and hard! Jared Varava was my Director of Photography on both On Holiday and The Black Belle. He is one of the hardest workers I know and has a mind born to make movies. His eye stands out from the rest. And, in the best possible way, Jared scared me. He is so good that I never wanted to bring him a bad idea. He was an amazing motivator for me throughout the shoot in this way.

Luckily for us, my old and best of buddies, Robert Murphy had just moved to town as we prepped. We grew up making movies together then shared our biggest success together, In Search Of a Midnight Kiss, where Robert was DP and I acted. He jumped on The Black Belle with his usual enthusiasm and was our second camera. Having Robert on set is like having a lucky rabbits foot in your pocket. And we needed the luck! When we where shooting in downtown L.A. I had requested that the crew dress like crazy Chicago Bears fans so no one would suspect we were making a movie. Undercover gorilla film making at its finest! The producing team work smart and with smiles. This was Laura Holloway's first she produced though she had me convinced she had done this many times before. Laura is a pro and Im excited to see what she does with her future. Logan Sparks, who I worked with on On Holiday joined The Black Belle team and started kicking ass and filling the holes that needed to be filled. And no movie can be made without Bret Roberts. He knows everybody in town and is friends with them all. When a location falls through, he can pull one out of his ass in less than a minute. If an actor drops out, he has the perfect replacement! He is a Swiss army knife of indie film producing. The Black Belle was shot in nine days. Like I said before, I had the structure of the movie before I had the story. So, three main stories that had two long linear scenes to make up each. With our schedule we were shooting about thirteen to sixteen pages a day. Jared said to me on day five, "It's like were shooting a short film everyday" and he was right in a way, as we were completing these long pieces of the film. Long scenes equaled long takes too. The red light on the camera that indicates it is over-heating seemed to always be blinking. Then we almost ran into a cop car with the car mount on! The shot list had to be thrown out the window when we were downtown. But every day we made our day and we were all excited about what was happening. Now with all problems solved and every scene covered, it was time for post. Jared and I edited the film in eight days. I like to shoot with little coverage. It scares some people but I believe if you know what you want and you have a good shot list, youre set! It leads to quick editing as the shots line up to the next. Some scenes get more coverage than others, such as the celebrity bar scene: a lot of actors, and a cut-off time of 2pm for Ron Jeremy plus we needed two cameras and it was the first day and first time I ever used a two camera set up. It made things quick! In the basement scene between Mikey & Nicky, however, every shot was planned to get you to the next moment with

very choreographed stage directions and camera positions. The sound design was done just as fast by Brad Djimovic. His office is right down the hall from Jared. It was nice to be able to bounce back and forth. Even in post the family fun vibe is continued. Now nearing the end of post, the music had been completed and gathered by Andy Clockwise and my loving brother who goes by the name of Silence plus a handful of tunes that I had in mind while writing. I wanted a rockabilly devil woman signer to be the voice of The Belle and I stumbled across a woman named Izzy Cox. She had written a tune titled Belle Gunness, which was at one time the title of the movie. Izzy was perfect. Her music fit the powerful man eating woman that I was after representing. A blast from the past, classic, sexy, and all woman! Foster Timms, a Los Angeles based singer/song writer is pretty much a male version of Izzy and I always had it in my mind that Foster would be the faithful voice of Franklin Dear. My brother Silence and I focused on making the over the top sexual dance music for the swingers club scene. I have always made music so naturally I was involved here. Andy Clockwise focused on the sex mix CD for the foursome scene back at Franklin and Belles place. The soundtrack has a lot of humor in it and sets the tone for the ride of The Black Belle. Brian McGuires Storied Story (A shortened bio is below this one) Brian McGuire was born in Chicago where he had six brothers and sisters, four mothers, and one father, all of them were crazy as hell but could tell a story. And there was a lot of story to be told, but to tell it you had to move quick. If you wanted a second piece of pizza you had to grab and eat fast! After dinner the talent show would begin. For Brian it was either a magic show or a stand up comedy routine, stolen word for word from his uncle Mike. The strange dysfunctional/functional Mid-West family structure would set a happy future foundation for young Brian yet he would lay in bed at night wondering about nothing much. His mind was blank. Something needed to change. So, he ran away with a traveling carnival at the age of eleven and ended up in Austin Texas. This is where he learned to hone his creativity. "In the 90's, Austin was the place to learn" Brian says. "With homeless artists, ripping girls out of porno magazines, and painting them into beautiful, mountainous landscapes on canvas at 4a.m. Outside of a coffee shop, how could you not dream up amazing

weird art?" At the age of twelve, Brian's first job in the entertainment industry (besides his stand-up gigs for the family) was to play the Jack Rabbit in the children's play titled "Don Quixote". In the grand death scene his death was more than convincing. Attempting improvisation, Brian jumped off a twenty-foot ledge and broke three ribs. He finished the play before being rushed to the hospital. He would not return to entertainment until he was nineteen. This is when Brian discovered Life. He met a guru named Gabriel Folse. Gabe was a Zen master who taught acting and life at the same time. There seemed no difference. Brian took to this training and still lives by it to this day. He became Gabriel's assistant for a brief moment, even attempting teaching his own acting class. During this time he met a handful of student filmmakers at the University of Texas. Although Brian never went to the university, he spent a lot of time in dorm rooms. And in the course of four years, Brian worked on forty student films. He knew all the professors and so learned how to make movies. "When on the set of a student film you do everything from pulling cable to pulling the trigger of a 16 mm Camera and then jump in front and act." Brian met filmmakers Bryan Poyser (Lovers Of Hate, Sundance 2010) and Jacob Vaughn (The Cassidy Kids) and they made a short film titled Jesus Of Judson that traveled the world and put Brian on the map as a serious Austin actor. It also opened up the doors to meet and work with other great filmmakers, some of whom he still works with today. Greg Gillpatrick made the film Appetite For Construction with Brian. The movie played the Sundance Channel for two years and gave Brian his first best actor award at the Cinematexas Film Festival in 1998. Brian is set to play the lead in Greg's up and coming feature Zero Days. When Brian's fake four years of college came to an end he met filmmaker and now long time friend and partner Robert Murphy. Robert is a master of motivation and had the will to try any and everything that needed to be done to make a project the best. Brian adopted Robert's attitude and would later apply this in his directing. But for now, Brian was making his move to Los Angeles to focus on acting. Like much in his life, his plan took an unexpected turn and LA became the place where he developed himself as a musician and mixer, becoming a well-respected underground techno DJ which earnt him his living for six years. Over this time he honed his own style of

music and timing that would show up in his later films. Making movies was an almost forgotten dream until old friend Alex Holdridge flew Brian back to Austin to play a lead role in Sexless. The movie won Best Narrative Feature and The Audience Award at the 2003 South By South West Film Festival. Brian had caught the acting bug again. A few commercials, bit parts in a couple of indies and long time friend Scoot McNairy (Monsters/ Cogan's Trade) helped Brian get back into the game. Scoot also introduced him to Bret Roberts (The Off Hours/9 Full Moons) who would become the linchpin in Brians future work. Scoot, Brian, Bret, Alex Holdridge and Robert Murphy (as actor and D.O.P) came together for the indy hit In Search of a Midnight Kiss. With openings all over the world and fantastic reviews, the film went on to win the John Cassavettes Award at the 2009 Independent Spirit Awards. Brian and his friends were now on the filmmaking map. In Search of a Midnight Kiss electrified Brian. Made for very little money the result was artful, convincing and would touch many. Inspired, Brian knew he was ready to take the filmmaking into his own hands. Brian and Bret were now best friends, experimenting as actors together and talking out film ideas. Together they created Lad Stallion Productions which has completed five films with another in production. Blind Man was the first. Its a road trip movie about two idiotically bad filmmakers on their way from Chicago to the CineVegas Film Fest. The only problem is their movie did not get into the fest and the road trip is all based on lies. Brian and Bret wrote Blind Man as a twenty-page outline with the films director Tim Harrison (another U.T student filmmaker Brian had made many short films with). Bret and Brian improvised the dialogue across the country. It was a low budget adventure made with no crew and forty actors who the boys would meet on the journey across the country. Rose Rollins, Joe McKellear, and Scout McNairy all featured. Ironically, Blind Man played at CineVegas the following year, 2008 and is now available on itunes and Youtube Rentals.

Bret and Brian as Mikey and Nicky Next, Dan Finkle and Brian wrote Everything Will Happen Before You Die with lead roles for Brian and Bret. In fact, the movie was written with a lot of locations and actors in mind. John Hawkes (Winters Bone/Me And You And Everyone We Know), Mark Boone Junior (Memento, Trees Lounge) and Nick Stal (Terminator 3) all appear in the film. The centerpiece at The Los Angeles Downtown Film Festival, it also played The Monaco Film Fest and The Ireland International Film Fest. Everything Will Happen Before You Die had a recent online and VOD release date of September 26th 2011. With all the momentum, Brian was inspired to write and direct his next feature alone. On Holiday is a film about a couple who move to LA and get into a world of sex, drugs and electronic blues music. Written in ten days, shot in ten and edited in ten the seemingly impossible was achieved with much excitement. Bret and Brian were again acting together and Bret was a producer along with some other The Black Belle team members. Producer/actor Logan Sparks was meant to simply play a cop in On Holiday and ended up as the executive producer as well. Logan took to the story and had been looking for the right in to producing. Brian's directorial debut was it. On Holiday involved a cast of forty-nine actors including John Hawkes, James Duval, Tipper Newton, Terry

Wayne, Joey Capone (who also co-produced) and Harry Dean Stanton. Black Belle Cinematographer Jared Varava shot it and also produced. On Holiday and Everything Will Happen Before You Die opened The Los Angeles Downtown Film Fest in 2010. Brian and Bret were given the award together as Best New Filmmakers Of The Year. On Holiday then went on to Raindance that year where it received rave reviews. The film comes out in America on October 1st VOD and online. Six months after the completion of On Holiday Brian wrote The Black Belle, setting out to explore sex and how men deal with it. After another ten-day sprint to write it, it was shot in nine and edited in ten. Again, a mind blowing pace. Laura Holloway, much like Logan was looking for the perfect project to produce. Alongside her was Logan and, of course, Brian's partner in crime, Bret Roberts. Each production Brian has been a part of has snowballed and collected filmmakers who have talent and a lot of love in their hearts. "It's important to find people you love to work with", Brian explains. "Why make movies with dick heads? They kill your soul". Brian has not stopped at The Belle. He has already completed his third feature as writer/director, Carlos Spills The Beans, and is in preproduction for his fourth film to be shot in November 2011. Brian is determined to get his stories out into the world as he has too many in his head. Biographies of Cast and Crew Brian McGuire Writer/Director/Nicky (Shortened bio from the above) Brian McGuire was born in Chicago where he had six brothers and sisters, four mothers, and one father. All of them were crazy as hell but could tell a story. At eleven, Brian ran away with a traveling carnival and ended up in Austin, Texas. His first acting job was as The Jack Rabbit in the children's play, Don Quixote. Attempting improvisation (and realism) for the grand death scene, Brian jumped off a twenty-foot ledge and broke three ribs. He would not return to entertainment until he was nineteen. Though Brian never went to university, he spent a lot of time in the dorm rooms of the University of Texas. In four years he worked on forty student films and met many long-term collaborators.

When Brian's fake four years of college came to an end he moved to LA where he became an underground techno DJ until director Alex Holdridge hauled his ass back to Austin to play the lead in Sexless (Best Narrative Feature & Audience Award at South By South West 2003). Refreshed as an actor Brian continued his art in LA where Holdridges big hit, In Search of a Midnight Kiss (John Cassavettes, Independent Spirit Award 2009) had the critics likening him to a young Bill Murray for his sincere acting blended with his nonchalant comic ease. For Brian, the film electrified his filmmaker brain and, along with best friend and collaborator Bret Roberts (a producer and Mikey in The Black Belle), he formed Lad Stallion Productions. The first for Lad Stallion was Blind Man, written in outline by Brian and Bret where they improvised dialogue across the country in a road trip setting, picking up the forty strong cast along the way. Concerning two idiot filmmakers headed from Chicago to the CineVegas Film Fest to show their film that didnt actually in, it ironically played at CineVegas the following year (2008). Brian co-wrote Everything Will Happen Before You Die with director Dan Finkle then wrote and directed On Holiday which played Raindance last year. Written in ten days, shot in ten and edited in ten, it paved the way for The Black Belles similarly intense schedule. On Holiday and Everything Will Happen Before You Die opened The Los Angeles Downtown Film Fest, 2010 and meant a joint award for Brian and Bret as Best New Filmmakers. On Holiday featured at Raindance last year and saw Brian stand out as one of the Top Ten New Filmmakers to Watch. Brian has just completed post on his third feature as writer/director, Carlos Spills The Beans and is in pre-production for his fourth, to be shot in November 2011. As an actor he has recently wrapped on 9 Full Moons with Amy Seimetz and, of course, Bret Roberts. Brian is determined to get his stories out into the world as he has too many in his head.

Jared Varava Cinematographer Jared Varava is a director, producer, editor, and cinematographer currently based in Los Angeles. His award-winning short films and music videos have screened internationally, and have been distributed by "The Ignite Series" (GenArt's traveling exhibition) as well as by magazines such as Paste, SmileFaucet, and Aesthetica. Recently he formed the production company, An Illusion of Movement, and has served as producer, cinematographer, and editor on two independent features, The Black Belle and On Holiday, working with Oscarnominated John Hawkes, Natasha Alam (True Blood) and Harry Dean Stanton. His latest directorial work, Tumbleweed! is currently in the final stages of post and will be released in 2011. He graduated with honors and highest distinction from the University of Iowa where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, the world's most selective honors society. Natasha Alam Belle Gunness Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Natasha (the Russian abbreviation for Natalia) attended school at the University of Technology for Aviation. In search of independence, she moved to Moscow to model under "Red Stars" model management. A few years later, Natasha was scouted by the Italian agency, "International Model Management" ("IMM") that sent her to Rome, Paris, Milan, and London to model for Gucci, Versace, John Galiano, Rocco Barrocco, Christian Dior, Trussardi, Vivienne Westwood and many other top designers. In 1996 Natasha met Amir Ebrahim Pahlavi Alam, the grandson of the Shah of Iran. The couple married in New York in 1998 and moved to London where Natasha enrolled into "The Method Center" to study the "Lee Strasberg Acting Technique." In 2001 Natasha and her husband moved to Los Angeles to continue her studies in acting, vocals, speech and accent reduction with Ivana Chubbuck, Howard Fine, Lesly Kahn, Carol Rogers, and Bob Corff. Natasha's hard work started to pay off when she booked her first acting job on the television show "Fastlane" (2002). With their careers going separate ways, Natasha and Amir separated. Natasha moved to Hollywood and Amir went back to London. The divorce was finalized in 2005. Now Natasha continues her carrier in Los Angeles and plays a wide variety of roles on popular shows such as True Blood, Entourage and CSI to name a few. Her previous films have included; The Women, Shadow Puppets, Drop Dead Gorgeous, War Wolves, The Projectionist and The Dead Sea. She gives back to the community by involving herself with charities such as the anti-bullying campaign, being an ambassador for Amazon Forever, Breast Cancer Research, Children's Burn Foundation, Feed the Homeless and many more.

James Duval Himself/Producer James Duval was born in Detroit, MI and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He started acting in 1991 after a happenstance encounter with indie film auteur Gregg Araki in a small coffee shop in Hollywood. He starred in Araki's "Teen Angst Trilogy (Totally F***ed Up, The Doom Generation and Nowhere) throughout the early to mid 90's. In 1996 he co-starred in Roland Emmerich's Popcorn Blockbuster Independence Day playing Randy Quaid's stepson trying to keep the family together in the midst of an alien invasion. The close of the decade saw James working on a string of indie cult hits including Doug Lyman's Go, James Merendino's SLC Punk and Brian Skeet's The Weekend with an all-star cast including one of James' all time favorite actresses Gena Rowlands. He also can be seen in Dominic Sena's remake of the classic car chase film Gone In 60 Seconds alongside Nicholas Cage, Angelina Jolie and Robert Duvall. The turn of 2000 saw James return to his roots with Gregg Araki to film a Pilot (never aired) for MTV "This Is How The World Ends", Randy Redroad's tender indie feature The Doe Boy (also featured at Raindance 2001), Richard Kelly's cult underground classic Donnie Darko portraying Frank the Demonic Bunny Rabbit, and as Blank in cult indie Director Lucky McKee's May with Angela Bettis. With arrival of the digital age, James began to change his approach to filmmaking harking back to his early days with Gregg Araki. No budget filmmaking and putting the creative control back in the hands of the creators. After a series of experimental films he found himself immersed in the company of the ever creative and ever innovative team consisting of Actor/Writer/Director/Producer Brian McGuire and Actor/Writer/Producer Bret Roberts. Joining the expanding family that also consists of the extremely talented likes of Actors/Writers/Producers Joey Capone, Logan Sparks and Laura Holloway. The last few years have been the most prolific for Mr. Duval so far with over two dozen films under his belt in the last two and a half years. He has produced five films in the last two years and just recently wrapped his first script co-written with the Writer/Director James Avallone, Spinning Dry. Upcoming films include Gregory Hatanaka's The Obsession with Pollyanna McIntosh (The Woman) and Dominique Swain (Lolita), Kern Saxton's Sushi Girl with Tony Todd, Noah Hathaway and Mark Hamill and of course Carlos Spills the Beans another new film by Brain McGuire. "The Black Belle was an absolute blast to make!" and marks the first film James has produced with this

team. Bret Roberts Mickey/Producer Bret Roberts produced and stars in The Black Belle as the used car salesman, Mikey, alongside director/actor, Brian McGuire. Roberts has appeared in over fifty films from indie to mega-blockbuster, six of which have played on the screens of the Sundance Film Festival (Lucky McKees May, Chris Fishers Nightstalker, R. Saitzyks White of Winter, Talent Given Us, 2010s Butcher Brothers The Violent Kind and Meghan Griffiths The Off Hours this year where he plays with Scoot McNairy and Amy Seimetz) Roberts first teamed up with McGuire appearing in In Search of a Midnight Kiss and they went on to make an experimental comedy called Blind Man in 06. Next up was Dan Finkels Everything Will Happen Before You Die, On Holiday (McGuires debut which premiered at Raindance 2010) and now The Black Belle. Since then the team has turned out another wild comedy, Carlos Spills the Beans with Joey Capone and Roberts dueling opposite each other with McGuire also in front of and behind the camera. Roberts recently starred in/produced the indie drama 9 Full Moons with Donal Logue and teaming up once again with Amy Seimetz, McGuire and Capone. Bret also appears in C. Fishers Meeting Evil starring Luke Wilson and Sam L. Jackson. He is repped by Chris Evans at One Entertainment in NYC. Joey Capone Aiden/1st AD/Co-Producer Whether hes the lead actor, writer, producer, or 1st AD on a project Joeys hands are always dirty. In The Black Belle we meet Joey as Aiden, the sensitive but vindictive protagonist of the first act, built with a unique contempt for his friend that can only be born from the lust for a woman. Joey and Brian first acted together in upcoming indie, Noise Matters then in Everything Will Happen Before You Die which Joey also 1st ADed. For Brians directorial debut, On Holiday, it was Joey he came to for his 1st as well as for the role of Fusilly Billy. He co-produced too, just for good measure. Joey wrote the feature Carlos Spills the Beans and plays lead under Brians direction who also plays his furiously uptight brother. In The Famous Joe Project (amazingly, not involving Brian) Joey is Famous Joe. It is a drama about a guy figuring out his sexuality as he records his life for all to see. The film will be out in 12 as will 9 Full Moons in which he plays a far darker character opposite Amy Seimetz. Joeys style is all his own and at twenty five with two features in which he plays lead coming out...he is one to watch.

Laura Holloway Carol/Producer Laura came to producing by way of acting. She grew up in a small town just outside New York City and knew the first time she saw Annie that she wanted to be involved in movies. After years of studying acting and music she attended a professional conservatory program at the Atlantic Acting School in New York where she studied under incredible artists like David Mamet and William H. Macy. After moving to Los Angeles in 2008 she got the itch to work behind the scenes as well. A chance meeting with actor/producer Bret Roberts meant she realized that dream faster than she ever imagined as she was inducted into a multitasking and prolific filmmaking family. Within weeks of meeting Bret she signed on to invest in and become a producer on The Black Belle as well as playing Carol, wife to Brian McGuires character, Nicky, in their emotional confrontation scene. Having little idea of what she was getting herself into, she happily discovered her passion for filmmaking and immediately signed on to line produce Brians next feature, Carlos Spills the Beans, which wrapped in April 2011. As an actor, she is currently shooting The Famous Joe Project along with Joey Capone and Pollyanna McIntosh (The Woman/Exam). As a producer, she is developing a feature scheduled to shoot in summer 2012. Logan Sparks The Fifth Wheel/Producer Producer/Actor Logan Sparks was born and raised in the wild west". Originally a Stagecoach stop, Logan's hometown of Cave Creek, Arizona had barely evolved into a dusty hamlet when he joined the handful of locals. According to Logan, the first words he ever heard were "Get Out". He took that advice and the day after high school he left the Saguaros in the rearview mirror and headed for LA. As a young actor Logan was a student at the University of Southern California's School of Theatre. When challenged with a bet about his film knowledge, he applied and was accepted to the internationally renowned USC School of Cinema and Television. Graduating From USC, with two degree's in Film and Theatre, Logan began working in the film industry both in front of and behind the camera. His first real life film experience was as a Production Assistant on movies like Star Trek: Nemesis, The Italian Job, Clockstoppers, Hollywood Homicide, and Constantine. In 2004 Logan was picking up commercial and theatrical work when he was hired as the personal manager of Harry Dean Stanton. While Logan continues to run the day-to-day operations of Harry Dean and his company, four years ago he met Brian McGuire and Bret Roberts and his career as a film producer was born.

Originally McGuire approached Logan to act in his feature film On Holiday but after falling in love with the script Logan was on board as a Producer and Executive Producer. This lead to being part of the production team for The Black Belle and as a co-producer on the just completed film Nine Full Moons. Of late, Logan is a partner and founder of the production company, Americana Entertainment, with the feature The Loneliest Man in Vienna scheduled to shoot in 2012.
