yahweh's name encrypted?

each letter of the hebrew alphabet has a numerical value in a system of numerology known as
the “gematria”.

the numerical value of the hebrew letters in the name yahweh are 10-5-6-5.

in between the five knots in a sefardic style tzitzit there are four spaces where a blue thread is
wrapped around the other threads of the tzitzit.

in the first space the blue thread is wrapped around the other threads 10 times to represent the
letter “yod”.

in the second space the blue thread is wrapped around the other threads 5 times to represent the
letter “hay”.

in the third space the blue thread is wrapped around the other threads 6 times to represent the
letter “vav” or “waw“.

in the fourth space the blue thread is wrapped around the other threads 5 times to represent the
letter “hay”.

thus the name yahweh is encrypted on all sefardic style tzitziyot!

but that’s not all...

an encrypted reminder to keep the mitzvot/commandments?

according to the rabbinic reckoning there are 613 mitzvot (commandments) in the torah.

according to the gematria the hebrew word tzitzit (fringe) has a numerical value of 600. sefardic
style tzitziyot are made with 8 threads and have 5 knots tied into them.

600 + 8 + 5 = 613.

thus the numerical value of a sefardic style tzitzit is 613!

why wear tzitziyot?

adonai (yhwh) said to moshe, "speak to the people of isra'el, instructing them to make, through all
their generations, tzitziyot (plural) on the corners of their garments, and to put with the tzitzit
(singular) on each corner a blue thread. it will be a tzitzit for you to look at and thereby remember
all of adonai's (yhwh's) mitzvot and obey them, so that you won't go around wherever your own
heart and eyes lead you to prostitute yourselves..."
