A Woman Sailor - Ellen MacArthur.

Ellen MacArthur was born in 1976 in England. She is the most famous sailor in the UK at the

moment. Why? Because she is sailing round the world. But this is not the first time. In February

2001 Ellen was the youngest person and the fastest woman to sail round the world.

Why is Ellen different from other sailors? Because she is not a man and she is not rich. She

didn’t buy any school lunches for 3 years because she saved her money. She bought her first

little boat with her lunch money. She was 11.
