CLEANING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR DUAL PURPOSE NON REFLECTIVE WHITEBOARDS

Prior to initial use of your whiteboard please read the following instructions carefully! A microfibre cloth or white board eraser would be sufficient in most cases. cleaning is needed, use a damp microfibre cloth. If further

White board cleaner should be limited and used only on stubborn stains if necessary. No acids, alkalis or solvents should be used. NEVER USE abrasive products, as they will damage the boards surface. e.g. ammonia based products such as Handy Andy. Avoid waxy or greasy substances coming into contact with your board, as this will affect erasability and cause smudging. Only quality dry wipe or whiteboard markers must be used on your board. If using an eraser pad, change pad regularly to prevent ink residue being transferred on the board surface. Avoid erasing or cleaning with eraser pad and/or microfibre cloth until whiteboard marker ink has completely dried (several seconds), as this usually causes smudging. Microfibre cloths are highly recommended for cleaning whiteboards.

CLEANING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHALKBOARDS

The best way to clean a chalkboard is with a dry microfibre cloth or premium felt chalkboard duster, which must be taken outside and cleaned regularly. Do not use water on a chalkboard a misconception people make all the time. Eventually the water will seep into the wood backing and the coating will become thin and much lighter. It can also cause the surface to develop bumps caused by swelling of the material. If a board is so dirty and normal cleaning methods are not working, then you may use warm water and a cake of sunlight soap with a microfibre cloth and left to dry fully before using again, but this should not be a regular method.

WITH PROPER CARE, CHALKBOARDS AND WHITEBOARDS SHOULD GIVE MANY YEARS OF GOOD SERVICE!
