Ramanuja

Ramanuja ; traditionally 10171137, also known as Ramanujacharya, Ethirajar


(Yatiraja), Emperumannar, Lakshmana Muni, was a theologian, philosopher,
and scripturalexegete. He is seen by Srvaiavas as the third and most important
teacher of their tradition, and by Hindus in general as the leading expounder
of Visidvaita, one of the classical interpretations of the dominant Vedanta school
of hindu philosophy
Ramananda
Ramananda (14001476), a Vaishnava saint. He is considered to be the reviver of
the Ramanandi sect. Ramananda for the most part of his life lived in the holy city
of Varanasi, and was a pioneer of the Bhakti movement, as well as a social reformer
in Northern ndia.. His 9 disciples are very famous-Anantananda,
Bhavananda, Dhanna Bhagat, Kabir, Nabha, Naraharyanda, Pipa, Ravidas
chaitanya
haitanya Mahaprabhu (14861534) was a Vaishnava saint and social reformer in
eastern India in the 16th century,

believed by followers of Gaudiya Vaishnavism to
be the full incarnation of Lord Krishna.

Sri
Krishna Chaitanya was a notable proponent for
the Vaishnava school of Bhakti yoga based on
the philosophy of the Bhagavata
Purana and Bhagavad Gita.

worshipped the forms of Radha and Krishna and
popularised the chanting of the Hare
Krishna maha mantra

and has
composed Siksastakam in Sanskrit
Mirabai
Meerabai (c. 1498 c. 1547AD) was an
aristocratic Hindu mystical singer and sahajiya devotee of
LordKrishna from Rajasthan and one of the most significant figures of the Sant tradition
of the Vaishnava bhakti movement. Some 1,2001,300 prayerful songs
or bhajans attributed to her are popular throughout ndia and have been published in
several translations worldwide. n the bhakti tradition,
they are in passionate praise of Lord Krishna.
Namdeva
$ant Namdeo ( October, 1 - 1350) was born
on October , 1 in the state of Maharashtra village of
Narasi-Bamani, in Hingoli district. His father, was named
Damshet and his mother's name was Gonabai. Most of
the spiritual message of Bhagat Namdeo emphasized
the importance of living the life of a householder and that
through marriage and having a family one could attain
enlightenment. He emphasized that the truest form of
bandage or devotional meditation, is to enter matrimony
and jointly seek the holy experience aheguru.
