    ASSIGNMENT #1 (Due 4/10/11) Individually search and read articles on the history, development and issues arise relating to internet, World Wide Web (WWW) and ecommerce/e-business, and then write an article of around 6 pages (single space) addressing the followings:
    1. It is said that e-commerce has gone through three stages of

    evolution: Innovation (1995-2000), Consolidation (2001-2006) and Reinvention (2006-present). Describe the stages and some major events that happened during the period, the issues, success and failures, and your opinion on the future of e-commerce.
    2. The Internet and the WWW are two main drivers and enablers of e-

    commerce. Describe the origin, concepts and the evolution of internet from the Innovation Stage (1961-1974), the Institutionalization Stage (1975-1995) to the Commercialization Stage (1995-present). Include also the bodies that govern the Internet and its future development. Briefly describe the concept, progress and development of WWW.
