What is AS Language and why should I learn it?

AS Language is a computer control language designed specifically for use with Kawasaki robot controllers that provides the programmer with the ability to precisely define the task a robot is to perform. Location points can be stored for play back and shifted and moved based on parameters and variables identified in the AS Language program. AS Language provides the ability to integrate peripheral components, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), lasers, weld controllers, vision, and remote sensing systems into the program. AS Language is relatively easy to learn with many keywords, syntax sequences, and interface commands being intuitive.

Course Structure:

This course is designed to introduce the AS programming language to Kawasaki robot operators, technicians, engineers, and programmers. The student is introduced to the commands, syntax, and structure of the robots high-level AS language. This course consists of approximately 50% classroom presentation and 50% hands-on exercises. Upon successful completion, the student should be able to create, edit and execute an advanced high-level
