WHAT IS AMM?
Austin Metropolitan Ministries is a nonprofit group and a program of The Community Mentoring Network (CMN). The CMN works with youth in the Austin area that have been in the juvenile system. The CMN tries to create lasting relationships between AMM interns and the youth that they mentor.

Mentor Youth

Internship Opportunity
AMM is partnering with Travis Country Jail to help get troubled middle school students back on the right path.

AMM is looking for interns from St. Edwards University to mentor students from Fulmore Middle School, just north of campus on South Congress Avenue.

WHAT IF IM CHOSEN?

Mentoring sessions are held two days a week from 3-6 p.m. Students have the option of choosing to mentor on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. AMM interns meet and receive training from professional social workers and juvenile justice advocates. The interns would also receive ideas to use in mentoring sessions with their students.
