enacted by the senate and house of representatives section 1 title of act Electronics and communications Law of the philippines section 2 practice of electronics and communications eng'g not valid to claim as an ECE without holding a valid certificate of registration as an ECE issued by the board section 3 registration certificate of registration shall be issued to any applicant who passes the board exam after the payment of required fees must not exceed two year has a specific records of at least 10 yrs of active practice as an ECE responsible character bonasfide member of iecep every certificate of registration shall have: o full name with serial number and shall be signed by the members of the board o attested by the secretary of the board of examiners o duly authenticated by the official seal of the board certificate of registration- evidence; that the person is entitled the rights and privileges of a registered ECE and certificate remains force or unrevoked section 4 Board Examination all shall undergo required technical examination section 5 Pre-qualification examination at the time of filing the application: o at least 21 o filipino citizen o good moral character o degree holder of not less than 4 yrs mentioned below are qualified to take , 3 yrs after the approval of this act: holder of certificate of associate in ECE or any allied eng'g or holder of a valid first class radiotelegraphy/radiotelephony commercial operator license with at least 5 yrs active practice section 6 schedule of examination candidates are given twice a yr chance by the board section 7 scope of examination written exam section 8 ratings in the examination must have an average of 70%, with no rating below 50% in any subject applicant who fails to obtain the passing average but who obtained at least 70% in EACH of at least ONE-HALF of the total subjects o -are permitted to take within 2 yrs from the ate of examination, another examination on the subject below 70% but if the examinee failed, he shall required to take all the subjects in the next section 9 report of results of examination 90 days submitted to Commisioner of civil service, who shall act thereon within 30 days from receipt thereof. section 10 fees for examination and registration examination fee: 45 pesos registration fee: 10 pesos

duplicate certificate: 10 pesos NOTE: all shall be paid to disbursing officer, and he shall pay from the receipt all authorize expenses including compensation of each member roster of electronics and communications engineers secretary of the board shall prepare every month of july every year, a roster showing: names, addresses, and places of business of all registerd ECE copies of the roster shall be mailed to: secretary of labor with copies furnished to all dept. heads mayors of all chartered cities radio control office public service commisioner collector of customs commisioner of immigration and to others upon request... creation and composition of the board composed of a chairman and two members, o all appointed by the president of the philippines o with the consent of commission on appointments o member of the first board shall be appointed within 2 yrs after the approval of this act from the approval of IECEP powers and duties of the board I. o administer provisions of this act o administer oaths o issue, suspend or revoke certificate of registration o study the conditions affecting ECE profession o exercise powers with the view of promotion, maintenance of ethical, moral and professional standards o study, examine and prescribe in cooperation with DepEd, the essential requirements to the curicula and facilities of schools, o recommend to the DepEd to grant a permit to schools who will offer ECE o investigate violations; issue subpoena and subpoena duces tecum(if disregarded the board may petition the proper court) o establish and administer a code of ethics and fair practice for ECE o promulgate such rules and regulations II. refusal to issue a certificate in certain cases to any person convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude, immoral or dishonorable conduct, person of unsound mind III. Revocation and Suspension of certificates for unprofessional , unethical conduct, malpractice, incompetence, fraud, deceit, or false statement was employed IV. Appeal from judgment decision of the board is final after 30 days from the date of promulgation unless appeal to the office of the Pres. was made V. Reinstatement and Replacement of certificates reinstate the suspended certificate or issue another certificate upon payment of fees at least 2 yrs after the suspension replacement are for: lost, destroyed,

or any violations said on this act Appropriation of funds sum of ten thousand pesos is appropriated ot of any funds in the national treasury to be disbursed by the board; during 12 months section 26 Repealing Clause all laws, executive orders, rules etc. in conflict with the actare hereby repealed or ammended accordingly section 27 separability of provisions any portion of this act declared unconstitutional by any competent court shall not be affected thereby. section 28 Effectivity approved, June 21, 1969 section 25
