Pens: KOH-I-NOOR technical pens: sizes 2x0, 3x0 REQUIRED; size 4x0 RECOMMENDED Quill pens: Speedball #20 General Purpose Pen Set (preferred!) OR Artist set OR Sketching set KOH-I-NOOR #3085 Ultradraw Black India ink (NOTE: the ink that comes with the set is generic and should be replaced with #3085 UltraDraw ink) Strathmore, 500 series, 2-ply, plate surface bristol board: 2 full sheets, cut into quarters PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS PAPER HAS A STRATHMORE WATERMARK sketch pad for preliminary pencil drawings tracing paper (pad or drafting trace roll "Bumwad") pencil erasers: kneaded and white plastic repositionable tape Viva paper towels or a 100% cotton cloth cup for water transfer paper (DO NOT PURCHASE - we make this in class) OPTIONAL MATERIALS hand lens or magnifying glass, reducing lens chinese white watercolor or white gouache small watercolor brush
