I've been waiting far too long too long I think I wont go long I think I wont carry on Orpheus: Hands on the clock are standing still, But your heart is racing, Youre losing your grip on the window sill, Going down by the weight of it, And you pray for belief, As you lie on the floor, As you wait, you can see, Theres a light underneath it all, This is the day youre not waiting for Eurydice: Orpheus, my Orpheus (low / deep voice) Orpheus: My love, Im here hold on, just hold on anyone, help us! Gods on Olympus, hear my prayers. Were finally breaking into the daylight, In the warmth of the sun, I will stand by your side till your fear passes on, so just look in my eyes, And baby try to hold on and you find it wont be long Eurydice: My dear (soft weak voice), Im dying I didnt wish for this day to happen not now, not tomorrow I love you; no one ever made me feel this way so much love and care. I love you my beloved Orpheus. (Eurydice closed her eyes and died.) Narrator: Eurydice died in the arms of Orpheus.
