Nikkah Ceremony of Sheikh

Narrator : This is basically Arabic Nikah ceremony. All the characters in the play are fictitious,
and it has no resemblance to anyone , living or dead.
This play consist of main roles
Groom: Noman Ibrahim
Bride: Shahbaz Raja
Bride's Father: Uzair Ahmed
Groom's Father: Syed Abdul Qayoom
Marriage officiant/Narrator: Abdur Rafae Shahid
Guard: Wahaj Hashmi

Marriage Contract
Katb el-Kitab is the official marriage ceremony.
It starts with a sheikh or imam giving a short speech about how the Prophet honored his wives,
how to honor women, and how women should treat their husbands and honor them. Then the
imam tells the groom to heed the speech that was just given, and the father (or eldest male of
the bride's family) accepts the proposal

Bride's Father: Thanks God All the arrangements have been made successfully
Groom's Father: Yeah you are right it is difficult to arrange a marriage.
Bride's Father: I have spent a lot of money on this wedding. Just look at the food arrangement.
50 dishes I have arranged.
Bride's Father: I hope you like the dowry that I have given to my daughter. She is one of my
beloved children.
Groom's Father: Yeah I am so happy that I found a girl in the nice royal family.

Bride's Father : I have also given one of my oil reserve, as gift to my son in law.
Groom's Father: Yeah sure that will further strengthen our wealth and business stability.
Groom's Father: Its getting too late. I have asked my son to be on time. He might be busy
getting himself ready for the big day.
Nikah Official: Its getting too late.

Groom: I want to see the bride... Oh God, She is not the girl of the picture that you showed to
me. I am being betrayed, you have ruined my life. This has happened to me before.
Groom (ordering to his guard pointing towards bride's father)
Groom: (ordering to his guard pointing towards bride's father) Catch him and punish him for
what he has done with me.
Groom: ( Talking to his bride) Its none of your fault. but your father has betrayed me. I will not
punish your for his ill- intentions. I am ready to make you my wife. Come on Lets go
