Three Kansas City Kansas Community College faculty members and nine staff members have been named recipients of the prestigious 2010-11 Awards of Excellence by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD). Faculty members honored are Elisabeth Kasckow, an assistant professor of Math, Science and Computer Technology; Mario Ramos-Reyes, associate professor of Social Science; and Sandra Wallace, a professor in the LPN Nursing program. Staff members selected are Barbara Clark-Evans, Director of the Intercultural Center; Heidi Garvey, College Nurse; Marisa Gray, Business Development Liaison for Workforce Development; Carla Green, Director of the Wyandotte County Regional Prevention Center; Pam Hall, Personal Trainer in the Wellness Center; Theresa Holliday, Assistant Registrar; Connie Northup, Supervisor of Bookkeeping; Lesley Strohschein, Coordinator of Financial Aid; and Bill Yeazel, Director of the Performing Arts Center. Awards of Excellence medallions will be awarded to each of the 2010-11 recipients at the annual NISOD Conference to be held at the University of Texas in Austin May 29-June 1.
