Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ِ‫بِسْمِ الِ الرّحْمنِ الرّحِيم‬

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ُ‫الْقَارِعَة‬
[101:1] The terrible calamity!
Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ُ‫مَا الْقَارِعَة‬

[101:2] What is the terrible calamity!

 Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ُ‫ك مَا الْقَا ِرعَة‬

َ ‫وَمَا أَدْرَا‬

[101:3] And what will make you comprehend what

the terrible calamity is?
 Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ِ‫ش الْ َمبْثُوث‬

ِ ‫س كَالْفَرَا‬
ُ ‫ن النّا‬
ُ ‫يَوْمَ َيكُو‬

[101:4] The day on which men shall be as scattered

moths,
 Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ِ‫جبَالُ كَا ْلعِهْنِ الْمَنفُوش‬

ِ ْ‫وَ َتكُونُ ال‬

[101:5] And the mountains shall be as loosened

wool.
 Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ُ‫فَأَمّا مَن ثَ ُقَلتْ َموَازِينُه‬

[101:6] Then as for him whose measure of good

deeds is heavy,
Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ٍ‫فَ ُهوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رّاضِيَة‬

[101:7] He shall live a pleasant life.

 Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ُ‫وَأَمّا مَنْ خَ ّفتْ َموَازِينُه‬

[101:8] And as for him whose measure of good

deeds is light,
Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ٌ‫فَُأمّهُ هَاوِيَة‬

[101:9] His abode shall be the abyss.

 Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ْ‫َومَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَه‬

[101:10] And what will make you know what it is?

Surah al-Qaari’a (The Calamity)

ٌ‫نَارٌ حَامِيَة‬

[101:11] A burning fire.
