Ammonia leak mock drill at ESP-4, Stage-II, Dr.

Sub.Engr/Shift/ESP-4: During regular inspection, observed the smell of Ammonia, immediately he has to intimate it to the ADE/Shift/Boiler. Wear the Ammonia canister and open the spray valve ADE/Shift/Boiler: After getting information from Sub Engr/shift, ADE/Shift has to

intimate to the DE/Shift/UCB, Chief Chemist about the Ammonia leakage and rush to the spot.
After getting the confirmation from ADE/BM regarding arresting

the leakage, ADE/Shift has to intimate it to the DE/Shift/UCB.

DE/Shift/UCB: After

receiving

information

from

ADE/shift/boiler

about

Ammonia leak, DE/Shift/UCB has to intimate DE/BM, Fire station, Ambulance, DE/FM, DFO, SE/O&M/Stage-II, CE/O&M about the leakage and he shall proceed to the spot.
After getting the confirmation from the ADE/Shift/Boiler about

ammonia leak he informs it to the SE/O&M/Stage-II for declaring emergency and siren is to be blown from ESP-5.
After getting all clear information from ADE/Shift/Boiler and

approval from SE/O&M/Stage-II he has to arrange ALL CLEAR siren DE/BM:

After receiving the information from the DE/Shift/UCB, he has to intimate to the ADE/BM and ensure emergency team immediately rushes to the spot.

He has to monitor all the maintenance activities and ensures that the leakage was arrested.
DE/FM: After getting the call from DE/S/UCB he has to rush to the site along with ADE/Safety Observe the wind direction & and ensure the availability of necessary PPE and one spare BA cylinder.

DFO: After getting the call from UCB, he has to rush to the site along with his team members and search for any victims.

Shift casualties if any to the ambulance after giving First aid.

Evacuation of non essential workers to the safest assembly point and head count shall be taken.
