Mixed air condition in winter (Outside air mixed with return air) Note-1 Dry bulb temperature Humidity Ratio = = 17.43 C 3.83 grams of water / kg of dry air

The dew point temperature at the above mixed air condition is 0.3C. As the supply chilled water temperaure (5.5C ) is more than, the dew point temperature of 0.36C, dehumidification does not occur at the cooling coil. As a result at the cooling coil, only sensible cooling takes place and the humidity ratio remain same as that of the mixed air (3.83grams/kg).

The supply air after being cooled to 13.5c at the chilled water cooling coil, will be humidified to attain the required humidity ratio of 9.4 g/kg.
