One morning, after having little sleep the night before from studying for her test on momentum, she awoke later than usual. She realized she was going to be late for her test so she raced out of bed and got ready to go.She jumped in the 1000 kg car and started driving 20 m/s, which was over the speed limit, in order to try to make it on time to class. On top of speeding, she reached over to the passenger seat to grab her cell phone out of her bag. She wanted to text her friend to tell her to save her a seat in class. She wasn’t paying attention to the road and just as she was about to hit the send button, the car collided head on with a tree on the sidewalk.
