Social Studies Extra Credit Option

2nd Semester Due: Friday, February 16, 2012 (You may turn this in early if you choose.)

Choose one (1) of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World to write a one page report and create a model of the wonder.

*You will not receive as many points if you choose to do the Egyptian pyramids*
The report should include the name of the wonder, where it is or was, who supposedly built it, and why. You may wish to consider the following questions in your report: How was it constructed? How long did it take? Is there anything like it today? What was its purpose? How was it discovered? Normal English rules apply. Typing is preferred but not required. Do NOT cut & paste or otherwise copy your information! Cite your source(s) for your report. IF YOU COPY AND PASTE YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY CREDIT FOR YOUR PROJECT. The model of the wonder may be constructed from anything you choose. Make it as close to the actual wonder as you can (of course, it is not going to be the right size).
