The Komodo National Park is home to some of the world's largest lizards - the Komodo dragons (Varanus komodoensis).

Komodo dragons are the largest living lizard in the world. The Komodo National Park is located 200 miles away from Bali. is the jump-off point to the park, via the cities of Bima on the island of Sumbawa. The Komodo National Park's waters are known for their high marine biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for adventurous divers. Other Wildlife Komodo dragons aren't the only impressive wildlife on the island. Some of the life on Rinca includes water buffalo, deer, wild pigs, monkeys, and many exotic bird species. Diving around the Komodos The Komodo National Park's waters are known for their high marine biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for adventurous divers. Labuan Bajo is found on the western tip of Flores in the Nusa Tenggara islands of Indonesia. Most tourists arrive in Labuan Bajo via boat from Lombok or domestic flight from Bali. It consists of over 260 species of reef building coral and over a 1,000 different species of bony fishes (over 1,000 species). On land: On foot, only, as there are neither roads nor motor transport. The main reasons to travel to Komodo National Park are the Komodo Dragons, the superb beaches and the unspoilt corals.
