Project Topic: Package for Statistical functions.

Report 1: Since my topic is related to Statistics , I searched for Statistics related formulas and functions which I would like to implement. The functions I tried to understand includes those functions used for computing Mean, Median and Mode. I got following details about Mean, Median and Mode : Mean: For a data set, the mean is the sum of the values divided by the number of values. The mean of a set of numbers x1, x2, ..., xn is typically denoted by , pronounced "x bar". This mean is a type of arithmetic mean. If the data set were based on a series of observations obtained by sampling a statistical population, this mean is termed the "sample mean" ( ) to distinguish it from the "population mean" ( or Median: Median is described as the numerical value separating the higher half of a sample, a population, or a probability distribution, from the lower half. The median of a finite list of numbers can be found by arranging all the observations from lowest value to highest value and picking the middle one. If there is an even number of observations, then there is no single middle value; the median is then usually defined to be the mean of the two middle values. Mode: the mode is the value that occurs most frequently in a data set or a probability distribution.[1] In some fields, notably education, sample data are often called scores, and the sample mode is known as the modal score. The mode is in general different from the mean and median, and may be very different for strongly skewed distributions.
