    THE MEANING OF COLOURS AROUND THE WORLD

    Colours fascinate all of us with the power that they can give to people, but also with their significance. Every nation on this planet has its own superstitions about colours, and some of them are the following: - in China, red is a symbol of celebration and luck; - in Middle East, blue is considered the colour of protection; - some tropical countries associate green with danger; - in Western cultures, purple is for royalty; - in the United States, white symbolizes purity(used in weddings) and so on. In Romania, colours are used for traditional customs for a certain reason. For example, wedding and burial customs are white because white means purity.
