Strong Roots
Both firms were founded decades ago –
Wells Manufacturing in 1925, and
Bloomfield Industries in 1933. This com-
bined experience in the industry has
given the company a reputation for meet-
ing the needs of foodservice companies
worldwide, it says.
Wells Manufacturing founder George
F. Wells invented and patented a waffle
baker in 1925, which ultimately launched
the company into the commercial appli-
ance market, the company states. “The
firm moved in 1968 to Verdi, and was
later purchased by Beatrice Foods Co.,”
