Muzeul Brukenthal

European art, Romanian art, contemporary art, natural history, history of pharmacy and collection of weapons and hunting trophies are all gathered in one roof ... Brukenthal National Museum. The building was actually a palace of Baron Samuel von Brukenthal. Due to lack of direct descententilor Baron last legacy of the palace, collections and the rest of his relative wealth. In 1984, the museum is nationalized by the Romanian state. Brukenthal Museum houses thousands of works from paintings, prints, sculptures to decorative art. The paintings are signed by the Romans but also foreign artists such as Nicolae Grigorescu, Stefan Luchian, N. Tonitza Dierik, bouts, Hendrick van Balen, Rubens, van Dyck A, David Teniers the Elder, David Teniers the Younger, Titian, Guercino, Jacopo Palma, Magnasco, Lucas Cranach the Elder, Christoph Amberger,etc.
