Suppose that you as a network administrator of a company decide to buy a /25 network (210.54.23.128/25) for your corporation. Your enterprise network consists of two LANs (connected to R1 and R3 in the figure below) situated in Islamabad and Karachi respectively.

Assume that you will have 62 hosts in the Islamabad LAN, while there will be 30 hosts in Karachi. You will use /30 subnets on the serial links. Devise a valid addressing scheme and write: a. b. c. d. e. f. The network address of Islamabad LAN, R1-R2 network, R2-R3 network and Karachi LAN The IP address/ subnet mask to be configured at A and B The IP address/ subnet mask to be configured at eth0, s0 of R1 The IP address/ subnet mask to be configured at s0 and s1 of R2 The IP address/ subnet mask to be configured at s0 and eth0 of R3 The IP address/ subnet mask to be configured at C and D

Addressing (Private Addressing): Devise an IP addressing scheme for the network above using private address only. You may look up information about private IP addresses in RFC 1918. You can use any consistent addressing scheme following the guidelines of RFC 1918 regarding which classes must be used for private addressing. Referring to the topology shown earlier, answer the same questions asked for public addressing. These questions are: a. b. c. d. e.
