Defining Organizational Access in Oracle e-business suite Oracle has provided a very important feature in e-business suite of restricting

access to a particular organization/organizations. This is really required in large enterprises spread across different geographies and have different reporting system, and each organization must not look into functioning/accounts of other organization yet be integrated. One way to achieve this is to restrict access to an organization for a particular responsibility. To assign access to a particular organization to a responsibility, follow the below steps (in this example we will assign an organization to Inventory Responsibility): Login as SYSADMIN Click on Inventory Click on Set Up : Organization Access Organization Access Window Opens Click on Add New Row in edit bar Enter the Organization ID in ORG Field Enter Application Name in APPLICATION field Enter Responsibility name in the NAME field Enter description in the DESCRIPTION field Save

Points to be remembered while assigning an Organization to a Responsibility: If you create an Organization and do not assign to any responsibility then that Organization will be accessible across all the responsibilities, if you assign it to any one responsibility then it will be accessible to only that responsibility and you have to manually assign to all other required responsibilities Organization access does not restrict the access to functions that work across Organizations like ATP, item search extra. This need to be handled by System administrators while handling the system security and provide only the required accesses to the Organizations.
