Nagaon Paper Mill

Address of the organization: Nagaon Paper Mill Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited (A government of India Enterprise) iso 9001, iso 14001 & ohsas 18001 certified unit, Kagajnagai-78241 Nagaon Paper mill was corporate in the year of 1971. But It commercially started its production from the month of October, 1978.It is situated on Guwahati-Nagaon Road. There are 1200 regular employees and 5000 contract workers directly and indirectly involved in production. They work in three shifts- from 6a.m-2p.m., 2p.m-10p.m and 10p.m-6a.m. Raw Material used for producing white paper1. Primary raw material-bamboo, 60000 Metric Tone/year require for producing target output.

Other raw material use-

2. Coal-require 120-180 tones /day. But average require is 140

tones/day. Sometimes keep it as inventory.

3. Limestone require 180 tones/day. After reburn of Calcium

Oxide (CaO), lime mud produce [CaO+ H20 ->CaOH] and it is used for production.

4. Telecom Powder- 20% of weight of the paper comes from this

powder. 5. SALT 6. CLORINE (Cl2) The above mentioned Raw Materials are collected from different areas of north-east.

Output product-Writing white paper and printing paper. Target of production- 1lakh Metric Tone
Last year production- 1, 06,000 Metric Tone Paper Highest production- 117000 in the year of 2008-09 Nagaon Paper mill sells its product all over the India and also exports its products in foreign country like Srilanka,Bangladesh,Egypy etc .
