    This study aimed to identify the somatotype category of university level netballers and to identify the difference of agility level according to their playing position. Data obtained from the measurement were analyzed to categorize the athletes whether they are in endomorph, mesomorph or ectomorph group. There was no significant different (F =5.66, P 0.05) of agility level between attackers, centers and defenders.

    Somatotaip Dan Tahap Ketangkasan

    ABSTRAK : Kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti kategori somatotaip atlet bola jaring peringkat universiti dan mengenalpasti perbezaan tahap ketangkasan atlet tersebut mengikut tiga kumpulan posisi yang berbeza iaitu pemain penyerang, pemain tengah dan pemain pertahanan. Hasil kajian mendapati tidak terdapat perbezaan kategori somatotaip di antara kumpulan pemain penyerang, tengah dan pertahanan di mana kesemua atlet berada dalam kategori mesomorphic predominance. Data ujian ketangkasan yang diperolehi dianalisis menggunakan ujian ANOVA sehala dan hasil analisis mendapati bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan tahap ketangkasan yang signifikan (F =5.66, P < 0.05) di antara kumpulan posisi pemain penyerang, pemain tengah dan pemain pertahanan.

    ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to identify the somatotype category of university level netballers and to identify the difference of agility level according to their playing position which is attackers, centers and defenders. Data obtained from the measurement were analyzed to categorize the athletes whether they are in endomorph, mesomorph or ectomorph group. Result of this study revealed that there was no different in somatotype category among attackers, centers and defenders where the all athletes were found to be mesomorphic predominance. Data collected from the agility test was analyzed by using the One Way ANOVA and the analysis shows that there was no significant different (F =5.66, P < 0.05) of agility level between attackers, centers and defenders.
