    The document summarizes a qualitative research study on the implementation of the International Maritime Organization's Model Course 3.17 in Maritime English at higher education institutions under Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation. The study aimed to describe how IMC 3.17 was implemented, understand lecturers' views of it, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. Key words: Implementation, IMC 3.17, Maritime English, Ministry of Transportation. The objectives of this study are to describe the implementation of IMC 3.17 in Maritime English at higher education in Ministry of Transportation and to know the Maritime English lectures understanding to IMC 3.17 and finally to know the supporting factors and inhibiting factors of the implementation of IMC 3.17. The location of the research was Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran (PIP) Makassar, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran (PIP) Semarang and Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran (STIP) Jakarta. There were 4 lectures, 18 students from Deck Department, 9 students from Engine Department and 10 students from Port and Shipping Management as informants from PIP Makassar. There were 5 lectures, 20 students from Deck Department, 14 students from Engine Department and 16 students from Port and Shipping Management as informants from PIP Semarang. There were 5 lectures, 9 students from Deck Department and 10 students from Engine Department as informants from STIP Jakarta. The researcher carried out interview and spread out questioners related to preparations, processes and evaluations of IMC 3.17. In analyzing the data, he used triangulation technique. In the preparation of teaching and learning processes was more than 50%. It can be seen that the preparation of IMC 3.17 has been prepared. In the teaching and learning processes was 70-80%. It can be seen that the teaching and learning processes of IMC 3.17 has been implemented. In the evaluation of teaching and learning was 76%. It can be seen that the evaluation of IMC 3.17 has been implemented. From the result above, it can be seen that the implementation of IMC 3.17 has been well implemented.
