The Military Situation
- Clashes broke out between the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Al-Assad's battalions in the districts of Al-Qaboun and Barzeh, Damascus. In addition, sounds of gunshots were clearly heard in Baghdad Street and Al-Mazraa Street in the heart of Damascus. - Asked about if the Syrian opposition depends on the Arab League (AL) in playing a significant role in the coming Arab summit in Baghdad, the chairman of the Syrian National Council (SNC) said" We depend only on the Syrian people and the hands of its youth, and we will not prevent anyone, who wants to offer help, from doing so The Al still defends its goal which is Al-Assad's abdication and it is our goal too. Moreover, in case the United Nations (UN) wanted to take a decision on stopping fight in Syria, we would definitely back that decision too, but our first and last bet is on the Syrian people."
