Seldin expecially for the removal of root tips and spicula (very small spike-like bone fragments) and should never be used where root or tooth extraction obviously indicate the use of a heavier, regular elevator. REGULAGEM Todo porta-amlgama j sai da fbrica ajustado de modo a proporcionar a expulso de todo o amlgama contido no instrumento sempre que se acionar o boto at encost-lo no anel de regulagem. Contudo, quando houver necessidade de reajustar o porta-amlgama proceda da seguinte maneira: 1. Afrouxe a contraporca que fixa o anel de regulagem em posio 2. Gire o anel de regulagem para um lado ou para outro, de modo que ao se pressionar o boto, a extremidade do pisto fique exatamente na altura da sada da ponteira, sem ultrapass-la. 3. Sem mexer no anel de regulagem, aperte a contraporca at encostar no corpo do porta-amlgama, o que fixar o anel de regulagem na posio desejada

ADJUSTMENTS All carriers are factory adjusted so as to ensure complete expulsion of all amalgam inside it when the button is depressed until it touches the regulating ring. However. when necessary, the carrier may be regulated as follows. 1. Loosen the locking ring. 2. Turn the regulating ring either way until the face of the plug is flush with tip opening and does not protrude. 3. Tighten the locking ring without moving the regulating ring until the two are locked.

LIMPEZA Mantenha o instrumento livre de restos de amlgama, porque estes prejudicam o seu funcionamento. Para remover restos de amlgama em estado plstico, aperte o boto vrias vezes, at retirar das paredes da ponteira todo o resduo. Se os restos de amlgama j estiverem endurecidos, aquea a ponteira sobre uma chama branda, at amolecer o amlgama, pressionando o boto com firmeza, at expulsar totalmente o amlgama. Tenha cuidado para no aquecer demais a ponteira a fim de no danific-la. O amlgama endurecido pode prender o pisto. Periodicamente, o porta-amlgama deve ser desmontado e limpo, pea por pea, com um pedao de pano macio. Para desmont-lo e mont-lo proceda de acordo com as instrues seguintes.

CLEANING Always keep the carrier free of amalgam residue as same may harm the carrier when i!t hardens. To remove amalgam that is still plastic press the button repeatedly until all residue is expelled from the inside of the tip. If the residue has hardened heat the tip over a gentle flame until it is soft and then press the button firmly until all residue is expelled. Be careful no to harm the tip by overheating it. The hardened amalgam may lock the plug. From time to time the carrier should be disassembled and all parts should be cleaned whit a solft cloth. To disassemble and reassemble the carrier proceed as follows.

DISASSEMBLING DISASSEMBLING Unscrew the tip. Completely loosen the locking and the regulating rings. Then remove the plunger assembly. ASSEMBLING ASSEMBLING Put together the plunger assembly and the spring as shown in the figure and insert in the barrel. Screw the regulating ring onto the barrel while fully depressing the button. Slide the tip over the plug and screw it in place. Adjust the carrier as explained above.

Instrues para Uso 1. Coloque na seringa endodntica ML, de mbolo rosquevel para aplicao de Pasta Endodntica, uma agulha descartvel 27 G-LONGA, previamente recurvada, quando for o caso, provida de tope de borracha (odontometria). 2. Desenrosque completamente o mbolo. 3. Mantenha a seringa na posio vertical, introduza o tubete. Em seguida, empurre-o para a frente de modo que a agulha perfure a membrana de borracha do tubete. ATENO: Evite que a capa de alumnio bata na agulha fazendo-a entortar, prejudicando o fluxo do material e implicando na substituio desta. 4. Rosquei o mbolo at encost-lo levemente no pisto do tubete. 5. Lubrifique a luz da agulha com a glicerina estril fornecida no kit, num tubete. Esse procedimento favorecer a passagem da pasta. 6. Retire o tubete com glicerina e coloque o de Hidrxido de Clcio com Paramonoclorofenol Canforado, tomando o cuidado em manter a seringa na posio vertical. 7. Com a seringa na posio vertical, rosquei suavemente o mbolo no sentido horrio at fluir a pasta. Para no se exercer demasiada presso e consequentemente extravasamento da pasta, o rosqueamento deve ser executado gradualmente. OBS.: Caso a pasta no flua, recue o mbolo e o tubete e em seguida recoloque-os de volta posio anterior. 8. Desenrosque o mbolo at que a pasta deixe de fluir. Limpe a ponta da agulha com uma gaze esterilizada. 9. Retorne com o mbolo at que ele toque sem presso no pisto de borracha do tubete. 10. Leve a agulha ao interior do canal radicular, at o comprimento de trabalho e a seguir, d uma volta completa no mbolo, para que a pasta flua na quantidade desejada com movimentos de vaivm, procurando preencher totalmente o canal radicular. 11. Aps o preenchimento do canal radicular, observado pelo refluxo da pasta, coloque uma mecha de papel absorvente estril na cavidade pulpar, e em seguida sele a abertura com cimento de presa rpida base de xido de zinco e eugenol P ulpo-San (S.S. White). Instrutions for Use 1. Put in the endodontic syringe ML, with a twistable piston for application of endodontic paste, a disposable needle 27G-LONG, previously turned, when, if it is the case, provided with a rubber top (odontometry) 2. Untwist the position completely 3. Keep the syringe in a vertical position and insert the tube. After, push it forward so that needle enter the rubber membrane of the tube. TENTION: ATENTION Avoid the aluminium cover touch the needle making it benb and damaging the flow of material, implying in the replacement of it. 4. Twist the piston till slightly touches the piston of the tube. 5. Lubricate the light of the needle with sterile gycerin which comes in the set in a tube. This proceeding will help the passage of the paste. 6. Take the tube with glycerin off and insert the one with calcium hydroxide paste with camphorated parachlorophenol, taking care in keeping in vertical position. 7. With the syringe in vertical position, twist the piston slighty in hour direction till the paste flows. Not to get too much pressure and further overflowing of paste, the twisting must be done gradually. Note:If the paste doesnt`t flow, draw back the plunger and the tube and then replace then correctly to the initial position. 8. Untwist the piston till the paste stops flowing. Clean the end of the needle with a sterilized gauze. 9. Return the piston until it touches, without pressure, the rubber piston of the tube. 10. Take the needle into the root canals till the length of the work and, then give a complete turn to the piston so that the paste flows in the correct quantity with oscillating movements trying to fulfil the root canal completely. 11. After filing the root canal, observing the refluxes of paste, put a piece of absorbent sterile paper into pulp cavity, andthen, seal the opening with a zinc oxide basis and eugenol P ulpo-San (S.S. White)

GUIA PARA ESTERILIZAO DE INSTRUMENTOS

Os instrumentos fabricados em ao inoxidvel devem receber alguns cuidados quanto limpeza e esterilizao. Essas so etapas fundamentais que, se conduzidas adequadamente, possibilitam o prolongamento da vida til do instrumento. A limpeza tem como objetivo a remoo dos resduos aderidos superfcie dos instrumentos e deve ser efetuada previamente esterilizao. Assim sendo, imediatamente aps o uso deve-se efetuar uma prlavagem para o amolecimento dos resduos. Para tanto, estes devem ser submersos em soluo desinfetante, excetohipoclorito de sdio, devendo permanecer por um perodo de 20 minutos. Em seguida, promove-se a limpeza mecnica com auxlio de uma escova de nilon, sob gua corrente, com detergente neutro. No devem ser utilizados produtos abrasivos, que favoream a corroso. Aps a limpeza os instrumentos devem ser bem enxaguados para a total remoo da sunstncia detergente e enxugados, evitando-se a secagem natural ou durante a esterilizao. A permanncia de produtos qumicos ou de umidade favorece o instrumentos. aparecimento de manchas e corroso nos instrumentos O calor o melhor mtodo de esterilizao, podendo ser utilizado o calor seco (estufa) a 1600 C por 1 hora e meia, 1700 C por 1 hora ou o calor mido (autoclave) 1220 C durante 15 minutos. Alguns cuidados devem ser tomados para que o processo de esterilizao seja eficaz, sem danificar os instrumentos. Estufa Os instrumentos devem ser acondicionados em caixas ou bandejas metlicas apropriadas e levadas estufa aquecida. O tempo de esterilizao somente deve ser contado depois de atingida a temperatura ideal. Deve-se evitar a permanncia prolongada dos instrumentos ou superaquecimento no processo, sob o risco de danificar os instrumentos que podem perder a tmpera ou adiquirir uma colorao amarelada. Autoclave Por se tratar de um mtodo que utiliza o vapor sob presso, para um perfeito funcionamento, deve-se seguir rigorosamente as instrues do fabricante e somente utilizar gua destilada. A gua contendo cloro diminui a resistncia corroso do ao inoxidvel. Os instrumentos devem ser devidamente acondicionados em envelopes prprios ou caixas metlicas perfuradas. Em ambos os mtodos o ciclo no deve ser interrompido e o armazenamento do instrumental embalado vlido por uma semana em ambiente fechado, limpo, seco e em temperatura abaixo de 250C.

Stainless steel instruments should be submitted to some special cleaning and sterelization methods. The steps to be followed will cause the instruments to have long life. The cleaning is meant to remove residues from the surface of the instruments and it must be performed prior to sterelization. After the instruments have been used, they should be pre-washed so that the residues can be softened. After that, the instruments must be kept in a disinfecting solution for 20 minutes. Then, brush the instruments with a nylon brush under running water. Abrasive products should not be used as they can cause corrosion. After cleaning, wash the instruments and dry them completely. The instruments should not be allowed to dry in a natural way nor in the oven. Chemical remainings or moisture are harmful to the instruments, exposing them to corrosion and stains. Heating is the sterelization method. Use dry heat in the oven at 170 degrees C., for one, hour, or humid heat in the autoclave at 122 degrees C., for fifteen minutes. Special care must be taken, so that the instruments are not spoiled and can go through an efficient sterelization process. Oven The instruments must be incased in boxes or proper metal trays, and placed into a previously heated oven. Sterelization time counting must be started only after the proper temperature has been reached. Keeping the instruments for too long in the oven, that is, for more than one hour, as well as overheating them, can cause loss of tempering or cause the instruments to acquire a yellow color. Autoclave To work properly, the system utilizes steam under pressure. Consequently, instructions by the manufactures, such as using distilled water, must be duly followed. Water containing chlorine makes stainless ateel less resistant to corrosion. The instruments must be duly incased in proper envelopes or in perforated metal boxes. No break should occur during the process of both methods. After packed and kept in a closed, clean, and dry compartment, under 25 degrees C., the instruments will remain sterelized for a week only. After that the whole process must be redone.
