The Field Situation
- Demonstrations erupted in all Syrian governorates, including Kafr Batna and Ain Tarma in Rif Dimashq and in the districts of Damascus and Hama and in Aleppo University, criticizing the slowness of the international monitors' task and Al-Assad's regime insistence on violating the international envoy to Syria Kofi Annan's plan. In addition, those demonstrations called for overthrowing Al-Assad's regime and trying its key figures.(1)(2)(4)(5)(8)(9)

- Burhan Ghalioun, head of the Syrian National Council (SNC), said that the Syrian regime does no implement Annan's plan exactly as was the case with the Arab initiative, asserting that the Arab League (AL) and the UN Security Council should not be turned into false witnesses on the practices of Al-Assad's regime.(5)(9)(16)

The Military Situation


- Security forces carried out field executions against 9 activists who previously met with the international monitors' team during their visit to Hama city that was exposed to a military campaign by Al-Assad's battalions one day after the visit of the monitors.

The Internal Situation


- Exodus movement of the families of the district of Masha'a Al Arb'een in Hama following the departure of the monitors from that neighborhood.(9) - The identities and uniform of Al-Assad's army forces were exchanged for the identities and uniform of the - Tens of cannonballs and missiles- launched by AlAssad's battalions against Jirjinaz City, Idleb- have not exploded yet, thus they currently pose a threat to the people's life there.

He also asserted that the international monitors had refused to visit the mass grave in which the yesterday martyrs were buried.

- Security forces launched arrest campaigns in Rukn al-Din district, Damascus searching for the families of Homs who left their houses and detained many families from Homs.(1)(2) - "Abo Bakr El-Sedeek" battalion- affiliated to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) - announced killing Awaini, an informer working for the air intelligence who is responsible for detaining many Syrian men and women in Barzeh, according to the battalion' statement.(1)(4)(8) - The Free Syrian Army (FSA) denied that its troops are in control of 70% of Deir ez-Zor governorate, describing those information as being inaccurate that might serve the regime, as the Syrian security forces would use that information as a pretext for storming that governorate.(1)

- A video clip released by activists unveiled the United Nations (UN)'s white cars following a tank and a troop carrier, in a flagrant violation of the peace plan that calls for the return of the army to its barracks.(1)

- The World Food Programme (WFP) doubles its food aid in Syria to reach 500,000 harmed people, warning against a budget deficit due to the inability to collect money required for implementing that process.(1)(4)(8)(11)

- French Foreign Ministry spokesman Bernard Valero said" The Syrian regime should not commit any more mistakes during the current opportunity." He also added" We would take required and urgent measures in case the position on the ground did not change."(5)

Political Stances Syria


- Syrian Ministry of Interior expressed its desire for recruiting a number of high school graduates in the Internal Security Apparatus as police men.(1)

Arab
- The Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki does not expect that the plan of the international and Arab envoy to Syria Kofi Annan would succeed, considering the rate of its success hitting less than 3%, adding that 300 monitors is a very small number.

He also added" Violence currently committed against the Syrian people- for only calling for its world rights- tears our consciences, thus we would not fall victim to depression especially that the Syrian people still bravely take to the street."(1) - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed resentment at killing Syrians who cooperated with the international monitors in Syria.(5)(9)(16) - US ambassador to the UN Security Council Susan Rice pointed out that the brutal military campaigns launched by Al-Assad's regime against the Syrian people are shocking, asserting that the USA would not stop providing the Syrian people with humanitarian aid and also with more than $33 million-aid through the agencies and programs of the United Nations.(1)(3)(7) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin asserts that Russia is still cooperating with Al-Assad's regime in the technical-military field in implementation of agreements inked with that regime in that field except for S-300 missiles.(16) - Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexander Lukashevich pointed out that the most important thing at the current time is to completely implement the ceasefire decision in Syria, adding that the developments of the events there made Syria reach a critical stage as it currently faces two choices: either to engage in a national dialogue or to be involved in a civil war.(1)
