Social Learning theory- is a perspective that states that people learn and develop by such concepts as modeling and observational learning.

The theory emphasizes that a persons behavior, environment, and personal qualities all reciprocally influence each other.

Three core concepts: 1. Children learn from what they see and hear. 2. Mental State plays an important play in learning. 3. Learned behaviors do not necessarily mean positive outcomes 4. Parents and teachers exercise the importance of modeling good behavior.

Part II: Select one or more theories from the table that you feel most represents your own learning beliefs and styles. Complete one of the following projects based on your chosen theory or theories: Provide three examples showing how the theories are practiced in a classroom setting. Design a basic classroom activity based on the theory or theories you selected. Design a professional development activity based on one or more of the theories where you explain the importance of using these theories in the classroom to other teachers.

Psychosocial Theory- Teachers who know how to apply growth thru psychosocial development in the classroom create a safe, nurturing environment where they feels loved, and comfortable, These feelings allow them to carry on throughout the day, allowing them to be open to new relationships and knowledge. 1. Be a great role model by teaching empathy. Teach children to be sensitive to the needs of others. Allow the children to role-play and model different scenarios and how they felt and how the reacted, and teach them how to deal with their problems. 2. Give children the opportunity to make their own choices, show them the difference between the effects of good and bad choices. Praise the students for good choices around other peers and parents, 3. Allow children to express themselves through journals or a crafts, let them be creative with their artwork of writing piece. Have the children incorporate their own style or interests into classroom activities. Make them feel special.
