STEP 2

Remove the FS-1562 and the PP-510 Printer, shown in Photo B, from the GMDSS Console.

STEP 3

The Fan entrance, shown in Photo C, will be used as the entrance for the Interface Cable. Make a cut in this cover with a razor knife.

Photo D 1) Remove the bottom and front screws from the FS-1562. 2) Open the unit with the rear facing as shown in Photo D.

1) Route the Interface Cable through the Fan opening that you cut open in Step 3. 2) Plug the Interface cable into J16 on the Tx/Rx PCB. (J16 is a 2 Pin Connector) 3) Reassemble the FS-1562.

The Fan Assembly will mount inside the console using the ground screws noted in Photo F.

1) Mount the Fan assembly, inside the console behind the FS-1562. 2) Use the ground screws provided for the FS-1562 and the DSC-6. 3) The connector on the Fan assembly will connect to the Interface cable installed in the FS-1562. 4) Reinstall the FS-1562 and PP-510 Printer. 5) Attach the Fan Assembly Connector to the Interface Cable on the FS-1562. 6) The Fan Assembly is thermostatically operated and will only be operational at the correct temperature.
