RajabisaJmeofforgiveness.IthasbeennarratedinthePropheJchadith:Seekmuch forgivenessfromAllahinRajabbecauseineveryhour(ofthemonth)Allahfreespeople fromtheFire.1Thosewhohavebeenfreedfromtherehatethedeedsofthepeople of the Fire and the aKributes of the people of the Fire, and only nd tranquillity performingthedeedsofthepeopleofParadise.Iftheyslipuptheyimmediatelyreturn to Allah: Thosethatwhentheycommitanactof indecencyorwrongthemselves, rememberAllahandseekforgivenessfortheirsinsandwhocanforgivesinsexcept Allah?andtheydonotknowinglypersistin(thewrong)theyhavedone.2 LookinyourselfforthesignsthatyouhavebeenfreedfromtheFire.Peoplewhoallow themselvestolookatthingswhichareforbidden,ontheirscreensorelsewhere,willnot ndthesesigns.Ifyouhavenotrefrainedfromfallingintothedeedsofthepeopleof theFire,thenyouhavenotyetbeenfreedfromtheFire.ThepeopleofParadise,those whoarepreparingtheireyestolookatthosewhohavebeendrawnneartoAllah,obey Allahsorder:Saytothebelievingmenthattheymustlowertheirgazeandguardtheir modesty.Thatwillbepurerforthem.Allahiswellawareofwhattheydo.Andsayto thebelievingwomenthattheymustlowertheirgazeandguardtheirmodesty.3There shouldbenothinginyourhouseinRajabwhichdispleasesAllah.Rajabisoneofthe sacredmonths,aboutwhichAllahsays:Donotwrongyourselvestherein.4Youshould notbeinthesamestateinRajabasyouwerebeforeit. andhasmadeitbeau@fulinyourheartsandHehasmadehatefultoyoudisbelief, corrup@onanddisobedience.Thesearethosewhoarerightlyguided.Thesepeopleare safefromtheDevil,fromtheirlowerselves,fromtheircaprice,fromaKachmenttothe materialworld.Howdidtheyachievethis?ItwasabountyandblessingfromAllah.5 One of the greatest signs that you have been freed from the Fire is that you take pleasureinseekingforgivenessfromAllahinthelastporJonofthenight,andatother Jmesoftheday.Youraiseyourhandstohimsaying:MyLord,forgivemeandturnto me,trulyYouaretheO;Returning,theMostMerciful! FollowtheexampleoftheBeloved(mayAllahblesshimandgranthimpeace);follow himinseekingforgiveness.Makesureyoudosowithaheartthatispresent,then perhapsAllahwillopenyouadoortoconnectyouwiththeBeloved.Ifyoureceived evenaporJonofoneofhisprayersforforgivenessyouwouldbatheinthelightofthat prayerforeternity.HesoughtforgivenessandheknewtheOnefromWhomhewas seeking forgiveness. How great is your knowledge of Allah in relaJon to his? Keep seekingforgivenessa;er`Ishaanda;erFajrandthroughoutthedaysandnights,then perhapsbeforetheendofRajabAllahwillhaveopenedthedoortoyouandyourheart willbelledwithlight. YoumusttakefromRajabthesecretofconnecJontoAllah.Youmustrealisethesecret ofseekingforgiveness.FollowtheexampleofMuhammad(mayAllahblesshimand granthimpeace)forheisthegreatestofthosethatseekforgiveness.Allahennobled youbyextendingthelightofhisprayersforforgivenesstoyou:Soknowthatthereis nogodbutAllahandseekforgivenessforyoursins6 andforthebelieversmaleand female.7 Allahissayingtohim:Allowthemtoenterthroughyourdoor.Whenthey comeviayouthedoorisopentothem.Ifonlywhentheywrongedthemselvesthey cametoyouandsoughtAllahsforgivenessandtheMessengersoughtforgivenessfor them..IsitnotenoughthattheysoughtAllahsforgiveness?Thisisgoodbutfargreater thanthatisthattheMessengerhimselfsoughtforgivenessforthem.Thentheywillnd Allah,andwhoeverhasfoundAllahhasnotmissedoutonanything.Theywillnotjust ndAllah,butfurthermoreHewillmanifestHisbeautyandbountytothem:theywould havefoundAllahO3Returning,MostMerciful.8WhoeverndsAllahO;Returningand
