Thank you for the clarification you provided in your
February 27, 2012 email concerning your eight FOIA requests
(Request Nos. 12-04558-FOIA thru 12-04565-FOIA). We will
resume processing your requests accordingly, and will
notify you upon completion of the individual cases.
Now that your requests have been adequately clarified,
we will address the issue of your requests for fee waivers.
This office may waive or reduce search, review, and
duplication fees if (A) disclosure of the requested records
is in the public interest because it is likely to
contribute significantly to public understanding of the
operation or activities of the government, and (B)
disclosure is not primarily in the commercial interest of
the requester. (See 17 CFR 200.80 (e)(4)(i))
Because the above fee waiver criteria have been
satisfied, your requests for fee waivers on these eight
FOIAs are granted.
