- Thousands of Syrians participated in the Friday of "In God's victory we trust" in spite of the fact that violence acts are on the increase, calling for the overthrow of the regime. On the other hand, AlAssad's battalions confronted them by using gunfire and making arrests.(1)(4) - The Friday demonstrations included many regions nationwide, from Aleppo in the north, Idleb (northwest), Al-Haska that has Kurdish majority in the northeast, to Homs in the middle of the country, Daraa in the south to reach the districts of the capital Damascus.

Military Situation
- The Free Syrian Army (FSA) announced the detention of major general Farag Al-Maqt and brigadier general Munir Shalaby affiliated to Assad battalions.(6) - Abdul Rahman Al-Halak, an officer with the Free Syrian Army (FSA), said that the border region in the north of Syria have been turned into a buffer zone at a depth of about 4 kilo meters that Al -Assad's battalions cannot approach, noting that about 20 defectors from the Assad battalions go to that zone per day.(6) - The Free Syrian Army (FSA) asserted that the regions under its control are on the increase, adding that the Assad battalions started to rely on the strategy of bombing those regions using artillery and helicopters. According to data issued via its website, the FSA started to conduct qualitative military operations in the recent period.(2) - Mustafa al-Sheikh, head of the Higher Military Council of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), said that Al-Assad's battalions assembled about 170 tanks at the Infantry School near the village of Musalmieh
Internal Situation
- The Internet service has been cut off in several areas of the Syrian capital of Damascus amid heavy security presence in the neighborhoods of Al-Qaboun and Al-Mezzeh, Daf Al-Shouk, Rukn Al-Din and Al-Maidan.(2)

- A leaked copy of the UN-Arab envoy Kofi Annan's plan on principles of political transition in Syria, which he will present in Geneva meeting, states that the Syrian people are looking forward to a democratic pluralistic State that is governed by principles of human rights and independent judiciary. Annan calls for setting aside everything that might lead to sectarianism or discrimination. During the meeting, Annan will ask the conferees to support a proposal that does not explicitly provides for resignation of Al-Assad step down. However, he calls for formation of a nationalunity government that excludes those who undermine stability of Syria.(2) - The European Union calls on Syrian opposition to close up their ranks with a view to moving towards a Syria without Bashar Al-Assad and his regime. The EU also urged the Syrian opposition to reach a consensus on common principles for actions to ensure comprehensive, organized and peaceful transition in Syria.(2)

- The Turkish Army is put on full alert at borders with Syria and sets surface-to-air medium-range missile launchers along the borders. Turkey says that such a step was taken to deal with any violation by the Assad forces of the Turkish airspace or territories.

- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says his country - The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara will not hesitate to confront those who unfairly treat their own people and attack neighboring countries, adding that the Turkish response would be strong if his country's borders came under attack.

The kinds of arms that Iran was attempting to send to Syria before the shipments were seized by Turkish authorities included rifles, machineguns, explosives, detonators, 60mm and 120mm mortal shells and other items, the report added.

- The foreign ministers of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council; Russia, the United States, China, France and Britain, in addition to a number of regional countries, including the EU, Turkey, Kuwait, Qatar and Iraq, are attending today's meeting (Action group on Syria) held in the Swiss capital of Geneva. The meeting is meant to reactivate the UN-Arab envoy Kofi Annan's six-point plan, especially with regard to cessation of violence.
