This topic has been much debated for some time now and there are different views

and thoughts on whether students should be allowed to take part in politics. In my opinion students should not get themselves involved in politics. According to Malaysian Umno Youth Exco Member Tun Faisal, students should involve in politics because the core purpose is to study. They are devoted to their physical, mental and spiritual growth. They will be wasting time in political matters as time waits for no man. The priority of a student is to achieve good grades, skills and knowledge they need. Furthermore, when it comes to mentality and intellectuality, students are still shaping to become more open-minded yet and critical thinkers. Critical thinking is disciplined thinking governed by clear intellectual standards. They are lacking in knowledge and not mentally prepared to handle the complexities of politics. Education in the field of politics should be imparted to students at both school and college levels such as learning about aspects of politics would be useful for those who interested about getting into it once they graduate. In conclusion, I have made my stand that students should not get themselves involved in politics. They should concentrate on their studies and if they are still interested in politics, they are advise to join after graduating as they more mature and knowledgeable.
