THDC India Ltd. a Mini Ratna, Schedule A PSU is a joint venture of Govt. of India and Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. The Company was incorporated as a limited company under the Companies Act, 1956 in July, 1988 to develop, operate and maintain the Tehri Hydro Power Complex and other Hydro Projects with equity participation in the ratio of 3:1 by Govt. of India and Govt. of U.P. The Corporation has an authorised share capital of `4000 crores. The Corporation has earned a net profit of `3684.56 million, `3252.06 million and `4799.51 million during the Financial years 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 respectively. THDC is implementing Tehri Hydro Power Complex (2400 MW) on the river Bhagirathi comprising of Tehri Dam and Hydro Power Plant (1000 MW), Koteshwar HEP (400 MW) and Tehri PSP (1000 MW) out of which Tehri HPP and two units of Koteshwar Hydro Electric Project (100MW each) is under operation. The Corporate Office is situated at Rishikesh. The Operational Unit is located at Tehri under the jurisdiction of Tehri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand which is approximately 83 Km form Rishikesh. Koteshwar is approximately 22Km from Tehri Project. The other project under construction is Vishnugad Pipalkoti HEP (444 MW) on the river Alaknanda in Chamoli District. DPR preparation for Malari Jhelum (114 MW) and Jhelum Tamak (126 MW) on the river Dhauliganga in Chamoli Distt. of Uttarakhand is underway. Karmoli HEP (140 MW), Jadhganga HEP (50 MW) on river Jadhganga and Bokang Bailing HEP (330 MW) on river Dhauliganga (Kali) are under Survey and investigation Stage. Apart from the aforesaid projects in Uttarakhand, the Dhukwa Small Hydro Project (24 MW) on river Betwa near Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh has also been entrusted to THDCIL by Govt. of U.P. THDC has entered into an MOU with Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL) to synergize strengths and competencies for development of Hydro Power Projects including pumped storage schemes in the country. Govt. of Maharashtra has allotted 2 PSPs viz. Malshej Ghat (600 MW) on

river Kalu and Humbarli (400 MW) on Vazarde Nalah (a tributary of Koyna river) in a Joint Venture of THDCIL and NPCIL for updation of DPR. Under India-Bhutan Cooperation in Hydro Sector development, MOP has allotted two Projects, viz. Sankosh Multi Purpose Project (4060 MW) on river Sankosh and Bunakha HEP (180 MW) on river Wangchu in Bhutan for updation of DPR. With a view to diversify its business Portfolio, THDC India Ltd. has entered into an MOU with Govt. of Uttar Pradesh on 31.12.2010 for setting up the 1320 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant in District Bulandshahar, of Uttar Pradesh. Efforts are being made to explore possibility of entering into Wind Energy & Solar Energy Sectors in near future. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :(a) The candidates with Minimum of 02 years experience in the immediate lower grade/level or equivalent scale for GM (F) & Manager (F) and 03 years for AGM (F) & DGM (F) will be considered. Application of eligible candidates, applied through proper channel/NOC and vigilance clearance from their present employer will only be considered. Job Exposure: Should have experience in Costing, Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, Internal Audit, Commercial Accounting, Industrial Audit, Taxation, Banking Operation, International Finance, etc. preferably in large PSUs.

SELECTION PROCESS: Personal Interview. COMPENSATION PACKAGE : The company offers attractive compensation packages which include Basic Pay, DA in IDA Pattern as admissible from time to time. Executives on the roll of the Corporation are entitled to 47% of their basic pay as allowances under Cafeteria Approach. Provision of Laptop, House Rent Allowance/lease, as the case may be, benefits in terms of Project Allowance, Hill Development Allowance, Medical facilities, various Insurance covers, Leave Encashment, CPF, Gratuity, and various low-interest short/long term advances like House Building Advance, Conveyance Advance, Furniture Advance, Multipurpose Advance, Children Higher Education Loan, etc. as
admissible to its regular employees will be extended, as per eligibility criteria prescribed under the extant Rules of the Corporation. Pension Scheme as per

the Guidelines laid down by DPE is under formulation.

Besides the above under the guidelines issued by Department of Public Enterprises, Company has introduced Performance Related Pay. Maximum Grade wise PRP for above mentioned posts is as below-:
General Manager (E-8): 70% of Basic Pay

Gross monthly emolument at the minimum of the scale as on date of notification is `1,02,200.00 (approx.) for GM, AGM and DGM and
` 73,700.00 (approx.) for Manager. The present rate of DA in IDA pattern is 47.2% of Basic pay.

HEALTH: The candidate should have sound health. Before joining, candidates will have to undergo medical examination by CMO, THDCIL dispensary or CMO of any Govt. Hospital in accordance with specified medical standards. No relaxation in health standards is allowed.
RESERVATION AND RELAXATIONS: 1. Reservation and relaxations for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Persons with Disabilities (degree of disability 40% or above) candidates will be provided as per Government of India guidelines.

2. The OBC candidates who belong to Creamy Layer are not entitled for OBC
concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as General. The OBC (Non- Creamy Layer) candidates are required to submit requisite certificate in prescribed format of Government of India, from a competent authority issued in the current year at the time of interview, if called for.

3. Ex-Serviceman and Commissioned Officers including ECOs/SSCOs who


have rendered at least 05 Years military service and have been released- on completion of assignment otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency; or on account of physical disability attributable to military service or on invalidment; shall be allowed maximum relaxation of 05 year in the upper age limit.

4. Upper age is relaxed by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been
domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.80 to 31.12.89. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

The mere fact that a candidate has submitted the application against the advertisement and apparently fulfilling the criteria as prescribed in the advertisement would not bestow on him/her the right to be definitely called for interview/considered further for selection process. Candidates working in Public Sector Undertakings/Govt. Departments shall forward their application through proper Channel. A copy of SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/physically challenged certificate from a competent authority shall necessarily be submitted by the candidates to belong to any particular category. The definition of Locomotor Disabilities, Hearing Impairment and Blindness/ Low Vision for Physically Challenged Candidates is as per The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Right and Full Participation) Act, 1995. The Physically Challenged candidates are required to furnish duly Stamped Medical Certificate in relation to their disability from Govt. Hospital or Medical Board. If any Caste/Category certificate etc. is issued in a language other than Hindi/English, candidates are advised to produce a certificate translation of the same in either Hindi or English language at the time of interview. Period of training will not be considered as experience required for the post. Experience in field of research or an ad-hoc or temporary basis will also not be considered for the purpose of reckoning of experience.
Candidates called for interview for the post of DGM,AGM and GM shall be paid to and fro Air/1st AC Rail fare and candidates for the post of Manager shall be paid to and fro 2nd AC Rail fare by the shortest route from their starting station or mailing address whichever is nearest to the place of interview.
