Senior Application Development Manager Mississauga, ON Permanent

Job Summary Reporting to the Senior Project Manager for a large scale system implementation project, the Senior Application Development Manager is responsible for the architecture, development and integration of key solution components. Key Responsibilities Assume lead solution architect role for project includes complex integration and multiple legacy and 3rd party applications Implement best in class solution integration architecture framework Report progress on all technical team deliverables regularly to Senior PM Participate in solution integration workshops with business, technology and vendor consultants to ensure robust end to end solution is delivered Manage a small team of software developers to meet project needs through the development and implementation of application software and integration solutions Remove obstacles for team and provide team with guidance as required Provide leadership, coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels

Core Competencies & Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field Minimum of 8 years of experience in a combination of business systems development, project management, and enterprise software development Implemented complex Enterprise Application Integration solutions (i.e. biztalk) Previous experience in developing and implementing large complex enterprise applications Strong communication skills verbal and written Sound Application Delivery Process knowledge Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management in accordance with the ITIL methodology and standards Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers Ability to clearly gather client requirements and manage expectations Knowledge of specific policies and practices for planning and administration of a budget for projects ranging from 2 million or above Project Management Institution (PMI) certification or equivalent Able to work with minimal supervision and to make decisions regarding assigned projects independently Background in computer science or information systems is an asset Able to lead groups of individuals on a project basis Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong understanding of the software development cycle Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem solving skills Mission critical environment

Technical Skills .NET WCF/WPF Cognos express ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) MsSQL Crystal Reports Scrum Agile Methodology Software Architecture and design SOA SOX/PCI LEAN Six Sigma ERP-Oracle experience in financial industry would be an asset Biztalk Service Bus Legacy system experience
