About KKHSOU: The Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University, first of its kind in the entire North East and fourteenth amongst the Open universities in India was established by the Assam Legislative Assembly by an Act (XXXVII of 2005) in 1995. The Act received the assent from the Governor on 7th September, 2005. More: http://www.kkhsou.in About the Seminar: Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the father of library science in India was born on 12th August, 1892. His birthday is celebrated across the breadth and width of India by the professionals and book loving people. So to pay homage to the father of the subject and promote the LIS to another new dimension, the Central Library, KKHSOU decided to organized a regional seminar on Entrepreneurial Approach of Library Professionals. Intake Capacity: The number of participants will be restricted to 150 (one hundred fifty) only on first come first served basis. The Library and Information Science professionals of greater Guwahati will be given priority over other candidates.
