Read the following story and answer the questions that follow. THE LION AND THE MOUSE One hot day, a big lion lay sleeping in the sun. A tiny mouse ran along the ground carrying some corn. She was such in a hurry she did not notice the lion. In her hurry, she ran over his paw. Her feet and whiskers ticked the lion and woke him up. Whats this? he snarled, grabbing the mouse in his claws. He licked j\his lips hungrily. Please dont eat me, the mouse squeaked. If you let me go I will help you one day. The lion laughed loudly. How can a tiny mouse like you help me? he said, but he let her go. The next day the lion went out hunting. As he ran, he tripped on a rope across the path. Suddenly a large net fell on him. He was caught in a trap and could not get out. He struggled and pulled, and he growled and roared. His cries were heard all over the jungle. From far away, the mouse heard the lions roar. I am a popular thing. I come in different sizes. I am sometimes big and sometimes small. I am sometimes thick and sometimes thin. People use me when they want to know more about people, places and things. Most of the time, I am happy because I often hear people say, I am glad I have you. I am really very simple. The very first thing that you see is my cover. It oftentimes has colorful drawings. This part tells what I am about. It has my name called title. It may be a word or group of words. As you open, you will see my name again. This part is called the title page. If you want to know the different things inside me, just open another page and you see the different titles of stories.
