Last Sunday, July 15 the Professional Consultancy & Educational Services (PCES) conducted a Seminar held at Maxs Restaurant

Olongapo City. Students from different schools attended the seminar and were about 300+ students. Among the Topics, Basic Course on speakership was the topic chosen and discussed to us. Boring as it seems basing on the topic but the Professional & Educational Services made the seminar incredible and lively. I really appreciated the tactics theyve used to make the seminar very interesting especially to us nursing students who are currently having our Case Presentation during the end rotation in a specific area. The Professional Consultancy & Educational Services (PCES) clearly discussed the dos and donts in reporting, Personality and behavior which has a great impact in speakership and the attitudes while speaking in the front of the crowd and also what includes a good report. They discussed all the relevant data that will help us to be a good speaker. Also, imparted us some of their experiences through speakership which made us realize that some of the usual things that were doing during reporting is wrong. All the usual mistakes were clarified through the use of this seminar. The speakers are knowledgeable enough to talk in front of us and I adore The Professional Consultancy & Educational Services (PCES) in the right choice of choosing the guests speakers. I also noticed that almost all the members of The Professional Consultancy & Educational Services came from known and big schools here in the Philippines which made me proud to be a Filipino, especially Dr. John James Lara Foster who is the Chair person of the said event. The Topics I enjoyed most are the first discussion and the last, Im not saying that I didnt enjoyed the second one but sort get bored, for the voice of the speaker is very fine making us to hardly hear what he is saying. But the entire seminar program is very interesting. I learned a lot from them starting from Personality which will be your investment in having the guts to speak in front of many people who, you dont know. Some fashion treats were shared by the speaker making us realized how important the looks to gain the attention people especially when you are reporting. Because admit it or not looks have a great bear in public speaking. The next one is what includes a good report, the use of visual

aids is also discussed and the appropriate size and place using different visualization materials. The third one is what includes a good speakership which was clearly stated one by one by Dr. John James Lara Foster. I adore him so much that I really focused in his discussion he did the discussion so lively that no one will attempt to get bored. His teaching strategies were that of a really professional speaker. I learned a lot in this seminar but I dont regret making my mistakes in the past before learning this much, because those mistakes will now be my basis for a good performances. I really hoped that The Professional Consultancy & Educational Services will again conduct such this seminar to improve other skills not just good speakership but for many more purposes.
