Position: Addl.General Manager (Design) / Dy. General Manager (Design), ARDC, Bangalore.

The Job: The candidate will be in charge of the Design & Development activities of different Aircraft Systems.

The Responsibility: Should have experience in one or more areas of the following: Preparation of 3D Models using Software CATIA/ AUTOCAD/ ProE., FORTRAN, Basic Languages etc. Electrical Systems (AC & DC) - Power Generation, Distribution & Control, Protection Circuits. Design & Development of Analog and Digital System, Power Systems Data Acquisition, instrumentation, Audio & Video Circuits Aerodynamics / CFD Analysis / Stability and Control Analysis Design & Development process and sound knowledge in hardware / Software design, embedded system development, real time operating, system, structural / mechanical design, application of software design tools, reliability and certification process or avionics system design. Should be conversant with configuration design optimization, win tunnel testing, Aircraft performance, Air intake design, testing and certification, Aerodynamic and installed engine data sets for simulation, operating envelopes & aerodynamic loads, Flights test data analysis process for aerodynamics and performance updates. Should have knowledge of preparation of a detailed performance Operating Manual of fixed wing aircraft with chapters addressing takeoff, optimum climb, level acceleration, optimum cruise, maneuvering , descent and landing performance with sensitivities to changes in QNH, QA, mass, stability, index (CG), runway slope winds, altitude, Mach No. etc. Should be familiar with wind tunnel testing, model design, test planning and data analysis. Should be conversant with governing airworthiness specifications and be able to effectively interact with the government agencies like DGCA, CEMILAC, DGAQA and customers - both military and civil. Should have exemplary / traits including good analytical capability, ability to guide and lead design team, commitment to complete the task undertaken and ability to co- ordinate, multi disciplined activities for ensuring effective decisionmaking. Should be familiar with military and Civil Airworthiness requirements of Aircraft and should be able to co- ordinate with Design, Shops, Certification Agencies, and Flight Operation regarding Flight Testing, preparation of Flight Test Programs, Data Analysis and documentation of Fixed Wing Aircraft.

Should have good knowledge in respect of fixed Wing Aerodynamics and other aspect for effectively carrying out Flight Test activates. Should be conversant with functions like HRD, IMM, Finance, Quality Control, Customer Service, etc., and should have good communication / presentation skill for effectively projecting the image of the Company.

The Person: He will possess a Degree in Engineering or its equivalent in Aeronautical / Aerospace branches of Engineering with minimum of 18 / 15 years service of experience in Manufacturing / Design / Aerospace Industry.
