PROFILE OF TECHNOTEST SDN BHD & TECHNO ADVANCE LABORATORY

1. INTRODUCTION TECHNOTEST SDN BHD (TTSB) was incorporated in 2003 in Negara Brunei Darussalam and started operation along with their associates M/s TECHNO ADVANCE LABORATORY (TAL) after takeover of the ownership of one of the Bruneis oldest (established in 1974) and premier material testing laboratory namely M/s Geoteknik Sdn Bhd. After take over the reins of Geoteknik, starting from March 2003 onwards TAL continued its operation with same technical personnel for providing the material testing services for construction industry.

2. DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION & ITS ASSOCIATES TECHNOTEST SDN BHD (TTSB) which was registered as a class III Contractor under the Ministry of Development Category: 5a, 5d & 5g. Its Associates M/s TECHNO ADVANCE LABORATORY (TAL) is an independent, third party material testing Laboratory and operating autonomously with occasional exception of subcontracting and incorporated in Brunei Darussalam. TTSB & TAL has employed and maintaining few key staff to manage and perform the testing works. All these key personnel had more than 15 years and even some of them had more than 25 years of professional working experience in the field of testing. Refer figure: for organisation chart. 3. QUALITY POLICY In order to maintain high accuracy in testing works, TAL & TTSB has fully committed to achieve QUALITY in all its testing operations. Refer to Annexure for Companys QUALITY statement. 4. FIELD OF ACTIVITES TECHNO ADVANCE LABORATORY is one among the few organisations in Brunei Darussalam engaged in specific testing (i.e. Physical, Mechanical and Chemical testing) of construction materials such as SOIL, AGGREGATES, CONCRETE, CEMENT, BRICKS, ASPHALTIC CONCRETE, WATER & etc. Since its inception, TAL has continuously upgrading its testing services for keeping pace with the demands of modern construction industry and society. The whole range of testing works undertaken by TECHNO ADVANCE LABORATOY is given under Annexure for reference. TTSB & TAL has been involved in numerous construction projects and currently undertakes and operating the Government projects and providing the services in the specialised field of activities such as: Geotechnical/Geological Investigation Works Environmental Investigation and Monitoring Works Structural Investigation and Appraisal Works Ground Instrumentation with Monitoring Works Structural Repairing and Strengthening Works Structural Assessment, Appraisal and Rehabilitation Works Construction of Micropiles, Grouting & Waterproofing Works Supplying & Commissioning of Laboratory Equipments & Field Instruments Establish & Operating SITE LABORATORY @ different Construction Projects During the year 2005, TAL also signed MOU with M/s CPG Laboratories Pte Ltd, Singapore (known as one of the pioneers of Building & Construction Material Testing in Singapore), a premier & reputed testing Laboratory in Singapore Construction Industry and collaborated with them in order to access their expertise in NDT, Quality Assurance, Research & Development and Training areas. Apart from the above tie-ups and for Environmental Testing, Monitoring & Analysis works, TAL also currently associated with M/s ALS LABORATORY GROUP, Singapore; an expert international Analytical Chemistry & Testing Services Company (SAC-SINGLAS accredited Laboratory under ISO/IEC 17025), especially for Water Quality Analysis (both waste & drinking water) and Solid Waste Analysis comprising of Sampling, Monitoring & Testing works. 5. CONCLUSION Over the years TECHNOTEST SDN BHD & TECHNO ADVANCE LABORATORY is assisting the Architects/Consultants/Designers & Builders/Developers/Contractors and it has successfully completed a large number of projects for both the government and private sector significant to construction industry. Refer the attached list i.e. Annexure for some of the projects details, which were carried out earlier, and including current ongoing ones.
