Since 1990 DHD (German radio broadcasting service) is known as a service provider for radio stations.

In 1995 the DHD extended its services to the field of technical support for trade fairs (e.g. post production, dubbing of reportages to radio stations, live circuits as well as implementation of entire live broadcast hours).
Media Distribution . . .
The DHD news portal is an indispensable interface for many radio newsrooms. All threads of produced medias and original sound packets are stored online in a special library and editorially positioned by the DHD. The DHD database is tailored to the needs of radio newsrooms. New radio reports will be deposited immediately on the DHD news server. Thus, the radio stations have fast and convenient access to all information about the event via Internet. The radio editors can download the audio material at any time as the DHD service is online for 24/7 ! The wishes of the clients were also considered in setting up the DHD editorial platform. This not only allows for the linking of all events, it also permits the quick and easy incorporation of each individual contribution to the press pages of event organisers. The DHD customers can easily create links to the "radio reports" on specific topics on their own websites - in addition to traditional press releases and provided photo material.

Technical Support . . .
Depending on the event, DHD also works with traditional transmission channels and can therefore offer live broadcasts. The radio formats are produced in permanent or mobile production and broadcast studios, in an Outside Broadcasting van (Inmarsat) or via UMTS/LTE (3G/4G) with a laptop. This technical service guarantees optimal working conditions for radio journalists and significantly increases the number of contributions about an event (exhibition, congress, press conference, concert...).

Fast medium "Radio" . . .

The fastest medium beside the Internet is radio. (Digital / analogue) radio is still one of the major communication carriers. The market is still rising. The advantages of the radio medium are topicality of news, accessibility to the desired target groups and low production costs of content and distribution channels. A growing number of radio newsrooms are not able to attend all events (trade fairs, exhibitions, congresses etc.) in person because of financial and personnel reasons. But the willingness of the stations to use up-todate written reportages about an event increases steadily. DHD reporting guarantees longer air times and broader media coverage. It is not uncommon that the DHD news services reach peak audiences of more than 20 million listeners (in Germany) during a single event.

IndoIndo-German perspective . . .
In 2010 the GDP (gross domestic production) of India was just above the 53% of the German GDP (3.26 Trill. US$) with 1.73 trillion US$ (according to World Bank statistics). In contrast, the Indian ElJay Arem population amounts to 1.2 billion, second only to China, accounting for > 17% of the world population. The discrepancy between GDP and population indicates the potentials for Indias development and illustrates the opportunities that are waiting for a commitment to the South Asian subcontinent. Correspondingly the mutual demands for information (of India and Germany) and requirements for media reports are increasing.

Quality Journalism . . .
DHD's orientation is neutral compared to other radio stations. Both public broadcasters and private radio stations use the DHD news platform. A consistent quality in journalism and experience of editors and journalists assures a constant collaboration with the broadcasters lasting for more than 20 years.

On 11 May 2012 City Hall Hamburg (Senate reception) hosted the opening of the "Days of India in Germany 2012-2013". Over the past five years the Indian government has been working at diplomatic level to facilitate the knowledge transfer from Germany to India. The adoption of the dual education system in Germany is a key approach. A free trade agreement between India and Europe is in sight and expected around the end of 2012.

Broadcasting since 2005 - main focus: India . . .

Cultural understanding was and still is the key for access to foreign markets. Since its inception in 2005 the promotion initiative IMC - India meets Classic - has followed just this mission: the promotion of an intercultural dialogue between South Asia / India and Europe. Educational formats with more than 110 topics and 141 hours on air time (8,474 min.) were produced for radio in last in 6 1/2 years. The IMC formats are now broadcasted as an all-year-round radio program in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (FM/Cable/Web radio).

Individual Topics & Reportages . . .

Every venture offers a variety of topics at events or trade shows, which can be interesting for many radio stations depending on different ways of presentations. The medially mapping of topics ranges from simple original sound packages, contributions in interviews up to live broadcasting of press conferences or elaborate features and specials. Editorial management receives notices of coverage (editorial mail) and (pre-)planned topics with sufficiently lead time for flexible programing.
