Conducting PG level Research Projects by Students 2. December, 1998: Presented a technical paper in an international conference at CPSC Manila, Philippines. 3. Sept. 1999: Conducted three weeks Faculty Development Program during, for Engg. College & Polytechnics at Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal (www.tribhuvan-university.edu.np/). 4. Brief Account of Consultancy Projects during 1990 to 2003 1. 1981-1990- Construction of TV Studio at National Institute of Tech. Teachers Training and Research, Bhopal: 2

a. 1981-83: I was given a challenging Project of 1. B&W CCTV studio system for Giving Video feedback to trainee tech Teachers which was completed successfully using Imported Technology from M/S Sony Cor. Japan under scheme of British Council Funding b. 1983-1985: Another project of developing small color TV studio using funding of GoI using ENG package of imported Video Equipment set-up by upgrading the small B&W TV Studio, which became functional in mid of 1986. Small number of broadcast quality Educational programs was also produced for Polytechnic Colleges. c. 1985-1990: The third challenging Project was developing a full size professional Color TV Studio using UNDP & GoI funding for producing high broadcast quality educational video programs which became fully operational during 1989 and still working satisfactorily at NITTTR, Bhopal. Many video programs are shown regularly on Gyan-Darshan TV channel. d. Thus, I worked as studio design engineer as well as video program producer-director using a professional production team during the decade 1981 to 1990. 2. 1990-2000: It was an era of undertaking Industrial Projects for developing training systems and training packages. I contributed as Project Team Leader /Member in following projects. a. 1991-94 - Training of Trainers: Under the DANIDA and World Bank funded projects about 120 Indian Cement Industries were required to be revamped for its manufacturing technologies and its operational methods. A large number of Engineers of Cement Industry were trained in Training Methods and using standardized Training packages for effective up-gradation of Cement Technology. For this purpose a number of training modules were developed for training more than 500 trainers of cement industry. Four Regional training Centers were developed at four locations selected by Dept. of Cement Industry, GoI. On the bases of DPR submitted by NITTTR, Bhopal. b. 1994-1998 - Training Packages: NITTTR acquired an international order for producing a number of Standardized Training Packages for four regional Training centers and trained the centers trainers in using them effectively. c. 1998-2000 - Training Packages for Indian Railways: NITTTR earned an order in National Bidding for producing Training Packages for 2,00,000 semiskilled workers of Indian Railways spread throughout India in Three switchable languages: English, Hindi and Tamil on the Topic of Operation and Maintenance of Pressure Brakes. Indian Railways introduced pressure brake technology during this period and abandon contemporary vacuum brakes forever. 3. 1990-2003: Quality Assurance of technical Education Services: Participated as member of Project Team in acquiring and implementing World Bank funded Projects TECH ED I ( for Poly. Colleges) and TEQIP-I to II (For Engg. Colleges). The purpose of the project team was to guide Polytechnic and Engg. Colleges in preparing DPRs, getting funding, subsequent implementation of DPR and evaluation of the project gains/ outcomes. 4. I was instrumental in acquiring ISO-9000-2000 Quality certification of NITTTR Bhopal. Under these projects I travelled to many Technical colleges, oriented and trained a large number of Faculty / Staff of the colleges and learned a lot from hard work. This rich experience enabled me to become what I am today as well writing the following books a.
