The wonderful wizard of Oz

Good morning, I want to tell you that I chose the book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Lyma Frankn Baum to present to you because I have always liked this store although I have never read this book before. The book present the store of a girl called Dorothy who has lived in Kansas USA with her uncle Henry and her aunt Em. The author says that the city was gray, uncle Henre and aunt Em are gray too, and Dorothy was saved to become because her dog Tot who has always make she laugh (by the way at the movie The wonderful Wizard of Oz of 1932, they made the first part in black and white, only when Dorothy leave Kansas the things become colorida). One day Dorothy was with Tot at her house when a strange thing happened, the house was taken into a cyclone and after some time the cyclone had sit the house down in the midst of a beautiful country. Dorothy left her house and met a strange people called Munckins who will to her that she saved them because she had killed the Wicked Witch of the East when her house have fallen on her, they still gave to Dorothy the silver shoes that have belonged to the Wicked Witch of the East. Dorothy wanted to go back to Kansas but didnt know how, so she asked to the good Witch of the North, who was there, how to come back to her city. There were four witches in all the Land of Oz, those who lived in the North and the South are good witches, but the Wicked of West was wicked. The wicked of North tell to Dorothy that she should go to the Emerald City, because certainly the wonderful Wizard of Oz was the only one who could find a way to she go back to her city. So, Dorothy started her journey by the yellow bricks to Emerald city. When she was walking she saw a scarecrow that was placed high on a pole to keep the birds from the ripe corn. Dorothy took him off and discovery want to get some brain to become as smart as a man. She told to him about her journey and invited him to join her because she believed that the wonderful Wizard could help them. So, both continued the journey until Dorothy hear a deep groan near, than she find a man made entirely of tin who was sad because once he was a man and at this time he didnt have a heart to feel properly. Again, Dorothy told her story and the tin Woodman join to the adventure. After that, the met a Lion who tried to scare them and Dorothy said to the Lion that he was a coward to scare a little dog like Tot. The Lion agreed with her and joined the others intended to ask the Wizard of Oz a little courage. In this adventure the pass a lot of different places and met a lot of weird people until they arrived to the Emerald City. The city seemed to be all made of Emeralds, but we discovered that is not true. When they stopped at the front door they had to wear a green glasses that make everything seems green, including the people. There, they met the Wizard (who appeared in different forms to each of them) but the Wizard said that he will just help them if they kill the Wicked Witch of West. So they went to West and Dorothy finished as a slave until she threw water in the witch and she disappeared. When they came back to Emerald City they discovered that the Wonderful Wizard hadnt any power, but the wizard promised to honor his promises. So the Wizard put a

lot of bran-new brains at the scarecrows head; he built a tin-heart to the Tin Woodman and put it in his chest; and he gave a portion to the Coward Lion to make him brave. After that, the Wizard tried to take Dorothy home by a balloon (the same balloon that he used to came to Emerald City the first time), but the balloon flew away before Dorothy have boarded and the Wizard flew away into the balloon. After that, Dorothy took advice with the soldier of the palace who said that Glinda (the good Witch of South), could help her. She went to South and Glinda said that if she uses de silver shoes, it will take her whatever she wants. So Dorothy desired to go back to Kansa and it happened. What is interesting about this store is that the scarecrow always was the smartest, the Tin Woodman always was the most sensitive and the Coward Lion always face his fears to help his friends. Dorothy could have gone back to her Aunt Em the very first day she came to Oz, but then her new friend might have to passed their life bounded for their wrong believes and fears.
