Faith of our Fathers

People before us did something we can all learn from. Prophetic Study of Hebrew 11.

ts very important to understand what the people before us did to make it to the faith hall of fame. Now more than ever, we need to live by faith continually because all that we are familiar with are falling apart and the system as we know it is strained and may be for a little while to come. Faith gives us the confidence in what we believe for and the persuasion that we have received what we cannot see. Vs. 1-2. Faith allows us to see how God operates-He commands things from the invisible and they become visible. All of what you are looking for is in the invisible realm and by faith you can command it to the realm of visibility. Vs. 3. Faith does something, its not passive. Abel brought God a good offering, Enoch pleased God, Noah built the Ark, Abraham obeyed, Sarah believed. Your next action is probably in one of these examples written. Vs. 4-11. Faith seeks the kingdom of God first above all else. All the people mentioned above sought something beyond their immediate needs; they sought a city built by God. We will all be together with our master when this phase is over. This must drive all you do. Vs.13-16. Faith sees into the future and disregards the present. Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac because of this. Blessing was passed down generations till the Israelites. You sacrifice your life on Gods altar and sow your future generations into the blessing against all odds. Vs. 17-31. Faith does the impossible. , 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. Faith faces persecution. Some were jeered at and imprisoned and beaten and even killed but they did not change in the face of death.
